As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I’ve seen my fair share of DLC expansions, but none have quite piqued my interest like the Mask of Darkness for Ubisoft’s Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. Having played through the base game and being left hanging on the edge of my seat, I was eager to delve back into the mystical world of Persia.
The initial paid downloadable content for “Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown,” titled “Mask of Darkness,” is now accessible across all platforms. Priced at $4.99, this expansion finds Sargon battling Radjen, an assassin from the Immortals, and trying to break free from her ominous Mind Palace. You can watch the launch trailer here.
In the vast expanse of the Mind Palace, four surreal biomes hide numerous perils. Over a dozen fresh challenges and obstacles lie in wait, along with six distinct enemy groups and three colossal bosses. Many of these hazards are inspired by Radjen’s past and subconscious, making some of them eerily ominous, as if manipulated by unseen forces.
As Sargon acquires fresh skills, he’ll find himself equipped with novel amulets to help him conquer the challenges that lie ahead. Additionally, an exciting new wardrobe option awaits for him to unlock.
The game titled “Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown” can now be played on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch. You can read our review for it here.
