Prince William’s New Rough and Rugged Beard Takes the Crown

As a seasoned observer of the Royal Family, I find myself constantly in awe of their resilience and grace in the face of adversity. The recent health challenges faced by several members of the family are a stark reminder of the human element that underpins their regal personas.

The heir is growing out his facial hair.

Approximately a month after changing his usual clean-shaven style, Prince William maintained his scruffy and manly beard as he made an appearance on behalf of King Charles III during the Sovereign’s Parade at the Royal Air Force College in Cranwell, England, on September 12th.

Accompanied by a mix of salt-and-pepper facial hair, the Duke of Cornwall donned his Wing Commander’s attire, along with numerous decorative honors, plus the insignia of the Order of the Garter’s star and sash.

William’s association with the airbase, where the parade took place, goes way back over many years. Interestingly enough, it was the very same university that granted him his wings in 2008 – a time when he and Kate Middleton, now his wife, were still courting each other.

He shared his joy with the gathering, as reported by People, stating, “It’s great to have so many family and loved ones present. Though I didn’t graduate on this specific ground, I did complete my flying training here. So, I’ve got a feel for the festivities ahead. I assure you, I won’t keep you long!

Three days ago, the outing took place, following on from when Kate, who tied the knot with William back in 2011, announced that she had completed her chemotherapy treatment, having been diagnosed with cancer earlier this year.

At the close of summer, she expressed her immense gratitude for having finished her chemotherapy treatment. Speaking on September 9th, the Princess of Wales, who is mother to Prince George (11), Princess Charlotte (9), and Prince Louis (6) along with William, stated that the previous nine months have been incredibly challenging for their family. Life as we know it can abruptly alter, and we’ve had to learn how to sail through turbulent waters and an uncharted path.

She went on to say, “William and I are incredibly thankful for the assistance we’ve been given and have found tremendous resilience from everyone aiding us during this challenging period. To those of you who are also battling cancer—I walk with you, shoulder to shoulder, holding hands.

Kate added, “Out of darkness can come light, so let that light shine bright.”

However, her health journey continues as she still has a significant path ahead, as mentioned by William during his encounter with the South Wales community on September 10th.

Still, Kate knows she can always lean on William.

As I shared in a video update last March, the past few months have been a challenging journey for all of us, due to my recent cancer diagnosis. Having my partner, William, by my side has become an invaluable source of comfort and confidence during these trying times.
