Professional Boxer Terence Crawford Knocks Out Austin Theory on WWE SmackDown

As a devoted fan of professional wrestling and the WWE universe, I was absolutely thrilled to witness last week’s bold move by A-Town Down Under (Austin Theory and Grayson Waller) on SmackDown as they called out boxing legend Terence Crawford. Their audacity in challenging a renowned athlete like Crawford was electrifying, especially after he had interfered to help Cody Rhodes attack A-Town Down Under.

On the latest episode of SmackDown, ex-WWE Tag Team Champions A-Town Down Under, comprised of Austin Theory and Grayson Waller, showed confidence as they confronted professional boxer Terence Crawford. Previously, Crawford had assisted Cody Rhodes in beating up A-Town Down Under by giving him a steel chair. Theory and Waller were eager for explanations from the athlete regarding his involvement with Rhodes. As Crawford approached the ring, they taunted him, with Theory even threatening to knock out the Nebraska native. Unimpressed by the threats, Crawford retaliated with a single punch that left Theory unconscious.

Since 2008, Crawford has been an accomplished professional boxer with numerous championship titles under his belt, such as the current WBO welterweight title. His unbeaten record boasts an impressive 40 wins and no losses, with his most recent victory against Errol Spence Jr. taking place last summer through a knockout. During a recent interview on “The MMA Hour,” Crawford described the experience as exhilarating and cool, but he’s uncertain about entering the WWE ring. Upon discovering the high risk of injuries in professional wrestling, he expressed concern and is now reconsidering his decision to participate due to the potential harm it could cause.

At present, the tag team champions haven’t scheduled a title match for SummerSlam yet. However, their upcoming opponents were determined on SmackDown – it’s The Bloodline! Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga will face off against Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa of D.I.Y. on WWE Raw next week in a bid for the tag team championships. This announcement comes after The Bloodline attacked D.I.Y. following their victory against A-Town Down Under on SmackDown. Additionally, Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair will defend their tag titles against Unholy Union at the same event, marking their rematch.

At SummerSlam, Solo Sikoa is anticipated to have an even more grand showdown against Cody Rhodes, the current Undisputed WWE Champion. Rhodes finds himself without any allies following The Bloodline’s elimination of his former supporters. However, there could be one adversary left who holds a mutual enemy and is prepared for the battle. Drew McIntyre and CM Punk are set to clash in what has been an intense feud between them over the past few months. Punk was given medical clearance following his injury at the Royal Rumble, putting his upcoming WrestleMania match on hold.
