As a gamer who snagged Days Gone through my PS Plus subscription last April 2021, I’ve got some disappointing news: I’m not eligible for the budget-friendly $10 upgrade to the next-gen PS5 edition of the game.
Those who bought Days Gone on PlayStation 4 can upgrade to the remastered version at the stated cost, but it’s important to note that individuals who received the game through Sony’s subscription service are not eligible for this offer.
Consequently, you’ll have to shell out $49.99 to enjoy this latest edition of the game, as it retails at that price on the PlayStation Store.
From our perspective, we find this approach somewhat tight-fisted. It’s hard to envision many who obtained the game via PS Plus being ready to pay $49.99 again for another playthrough. However, we suspect that some of these subscribers would have gladly upgraded for a mere $10. It seems to us that there might be more profit potential through the upgrade route, although the platform holder may have already considered this.
