PS Plus Essential Games for March 2025 Include Some Massive Names

Sony has officially announced the upcoming lineup of games for PS Plus Essential subscribers in March 2025. As usual, this selection includes three games suitable for both PS5 and PS4 platforms, which will become accessible for download starting on Tuesday, 4th March.

The offering is as follows:

  • Dragon Age: The Veilguard (PS5) | Review
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection (PS5, PS4) | Review
  • Sonic Colors: Ultimate (PS4) | Review

This may go down as one of the most shocking PS Plus updates in history, to be honest.

The troubled launch of Dragon Age: The Veilguard has been widely reported, yet here’s an unexpected twist – it’s already appearing in Sony’s most affordable subscription tier, just a few months after its release. This fact seems too good to be true, but upon verification from the platform holder multiple times, we can confirm it is indeed accurate.

In simpler terms, BioWare’s latest release has also received high praise from us, earning an 8/10 in our review. As Robert Ramsey, our fantasy enthusiast, put it, this game offers a visually stunning and captivating journey filled with lovable protagonists and intricately crafted antagonists that are equally engaging.

In our 8 out of 10 review, we expressed a strong appreciation for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection, likening it to something “extremely cool” or “awesome”.

In simpler terms, reviewer Scott McCrae stated that not every game in this collection may be a hit, as some are just variations of others. However, there’s still plenty to appreciate about it. This collection includes two classic beat-’em-ups from history, now available on modern platforms, and it also has lesser-known but delightful games such as Radical Rescue hidden among them.

This month, the title that seems to be falling short is Sonic Colors: Ultimate – a reasonably good remake of a game that many players hold in high regard.

11-year-old Sonic game titled “Sonic” is a unique experience, yet keep in mind its imperfections before jumping into the fray, remarked anthropomorphic animal enthusiast Stephen Tailby in his 6 out of 10 evaluation.
