As a long-time PlayStation fan, I am dismayed by the lackluster selection of free games for January 2025 on PlayStation Plus. 2025 hasn’t started off on a high note for me as a PlayStation fan, as I find the initial selection of free games for PlayStation Plus this year falling short in comparison to the stellar lineups we saw back in January 2024, which included titles like A Plague Tale: Requiem, Evil West, and Nobody Saves the World. Previous years have offered gems such as Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Fallout 76, Deep Rock Galactic, Uncharted, Greedfall, and Tomb Raider. It’s safe to say that this January’s offering is not living up to the standards we’ve come to expect.
