PS Store Sales Charts: The Top Three Best-Selling Games on PS5 Are from Microsoft

Here are the monthly charts for the PlayStation Store in April 2025, and it appears that Microsoft is thriving on Sony’s current generation console.

1st place for North America’s best-selling game goes to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered. Minecraft comes in at a close second, while Forza Horizon 5 rounds out the top three.

The same group of three titles are holding the first through third positions on the European music chart, with “Forza” in the lead and “Oblivion” in the second spot.

For quite a while now, Minecraft has been accessible across various platforms. Interestingly, Bethesda published the remastered version of this game in secret, but all these titles fall under Microsoft’s ownership.

The graphs showcase a higher number of games developed by Microsoft, with Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 ranking in the top 10 lists for both regions, while Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is particularly popular in Europe.

In other regions, the critically acclaimed film “Clair Obscur: Expedition 33” secures the fourth position in Europe and the sixth position in North America. This is quite impressive considering it’s not a widely recognized name yet.

In the world of PSVR2, the three most popular games in all regions are “Wanderer: Shards of Destiny,” “Beat Saber,” and “Creed: Rise to Glory – Championship Update.

In terms of popularity on PlayStation 4, Red Dead Redemption 2 is leading the pack in both regions, while Fortnite, Call of Duty: Warzone, and Roblox are ruling the roost when it comes to free-to-play games.

Or, more casually: On PS4, Red Dead Redemption 2 is the most played game in both regions, and Fortnite, Call of Duty: Warzone, and Roblox are the biggest hits among free games.
