1996 was an iconic year for gaming, and one classic from that time, initially released as Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars or Broken Swords: Circle of Blood in the U.S., is set to receive a remaster this September 19th. Making its appearance in October of 1996 through PC platforms, later gracing the PS1 that same year, “Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars” proved to be a double triumph in both commercial and critical realms. This can be seen clearly in its ongoing series existence, with a fresh installment, “Broken Sword: Parzival’s Stone,” under development now. Moreover, its acclaim is apparent in its 81 rating on Metacritic.

28 years later, the 1996 game is making a comeback, remastered by Revolution Software, the creators of the original. As per Revolution Software, this updated version of the game will feature high-definition 4K graphics and improved audio quality.
