In our days, Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy was a game frequently spotted in the used section of GAME stores on PS2. Now, more than two decades later, it’s unexpectedly returning to the limelight.
To put it mildly, that comment felt a bit harsh. Sphinx, hailing from the PlayStation 2 era, was indeed a robust action platformer, boasting quirky characters and an entertaining ancient Egyptian backdrop. It originally launched in 2003, with versions also available on Xbox and GameCube, and more recently, it received a remaster on Nintendo Switch in 2019.

The previously released remaster is now available on PlayStation 4, and it’s affordably priced at $14.99 or £11.99. After waiting for several years, fans of the Sphinx can now find peace knowing they can enjoy the game once more.
