2024’s Game of the Year (GOTY) sensation Astro Bot was honored with additional accolades at the BAFTA Games Awards tonight, taking home five awards in total. Among these prestigious wins, it clinched the top prize – Best Game, and also excelled in Animation, Audio Achievement, Family, and Game Design categories.
Additionally, Sony triumphed in the Multiplayer and Music categories with Helldivers 2, a game that secured two BAFTA awards following its remarkable popularity over the last year.
On that particular evening, the standout independent game was “Still Wakes the Deep,” which garnered recognition for exceptional performances in both leading and supporting roles, as well as being acclaimed as the top new intellectual property.
