PS5 Pro is no longer the most expensive console you can buy.
We’re unsure for how long we can continue making that statement, given Sony’s history of raising prices on their products during this generation. However, it’s worth noting that as of now, the high-performance system (presumably referring to the PlayStation) has been surpassed by the 2TB Xbox Series X in Galaxy Black.
Following Microsoft’s recent price changes, I’m now looking at a $729.99 tag for the premium Xbox model here in the U.S., which is a $30 increase compared to the PS5 Pro’s price of $699.99.
In the UK, while the Xbox Series X has increased to a price of £589.99, the PS5 Pro is still pricier at £699.99. However, given the significant difference in power between these consoles, their prices seem relatively close compared to what one might expect.
Absolutely, there’s a strong possibility that the price of PlayStation might increase in the future, just like it did in Europe.
The swift decision-making abilities of the company are currently safeguarding it from the tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump, which are significantly affecting the economy. However, this situation is not permanent.
Currently, in the United States, the PS5 seems like an exceptional deal compared to its competitors. At this moment, a regular PS5 Digital Edition is priced at $449.99, which is only $20 more than the 1TB Xbox Series S, considered less powerful in comparison.
