As a gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I can hardly contain my excitement for tomorrow’s PlayStation 5 Technical Presentation. The anticipation has been building for weeks now, and the latest teaser from Sony only fueled the fire. I remember the days leading up to the launch of the PS4 Pro back in 2016, and I can feel that same energy brewing once again.
Sony is planning to unveil its latest version of the PlayStation 5, known as the PS5 Pro, in an upcoming event. In recent times, rumors about this new console have been intensifying, and even Sony hinted at it by sharing a sneak peek of the PS5 Pro’s design. Now, following this initial teaser, they’ve announced that they will be presenting a more detailed showcase, offering a closer look at the hardware.
The PlayStation Blog announced this morning that Sony plans to present a “PlayStation 5 Technical Show” tomorrow, September 10th at 11:00 am ET/8:00am PT. This live stream is expected to last for nine minutes and will include Mark Cerny, the chief architect of the PS5. Although Sony hasn’t officially confirmed that this event will unveil the PS5 Pro, it seems likely that the focus of the presentation will be on this topic.
Sony invites you to attend an online seminar led by Mark Cerny, the chief architect of the PlayStation 5. This technical presentation, lasting approximately 9 minutes, will delve into the features of the PS5 and cutting-edge advancements in gaming tech.
2016 saw Sony hosting a similar event, known as the “PlayStation Meeting,” to unveil the PS4 Pro. Just like before, this event was led by Mark Cerny. Compared to its predecessor, this presentation was extended and showcased not only the upgraded PS4 console but also several games running on it. Given this pattern, we can expect tomorrow’s PS5 Pro launch to follow a similar format and offer glimpses of various PlayStation games being played on the new console.
Currently, there’s still uncertainty regarding both the cost and launch date of the PS5 Pro. However, reliable sources hint that the hardware may debut before the year 2025 ends. As for its price, it remains unclear at this point whether it will be significantly more expensive than the existing PS5 version. In approximately one day, we can expect more clarity on these matters.
