As a long-time Fortnite enthusiast who has weathered numerous storms (both literal and figurative) since its inception, I must admit that the current wave of problems on Xbox platforms is a bit disheartening. The excitement over the launch of the new season, Absolute Doom, with the arrival of Doctor Doom, has been tempered by the frustration of being unable to log in or having the game crash unexpectedly. It’s like being invited to a grand feast, only to find out that the kitchen is on fire!

If you’re running into problems while trying to have fun in Absolute Doom, you’re not alone.

Various gamers are encountering diverse problems while playing Fortnite on Xbox platforms, whether they’re using traditional consoles or cloud gaming services. Problems range from being unable to sign into Fortnite, or the game suddenly quitting without warning. The team at Epic Games has recognized these issues and is working diligently to identify the root cause.

On Twitter, the team has shared that they’ve noticed some instability across Xbox platforms, including Xbox Cloud Gaming, which could result in unexpected crashes or login issues. They are currently looking into the matter and will update us as soon as they have additional information.

We’ll be sure to update this article as more information comes in.

Fortnite is bringing in Doom

Following the start of Fortnite Battle Royale Chapter 5 Season 4: Absolute Doom, this new phase introduces Marvel’s villain, Doctor Doom, into the game. As per the title suggests, he has seized a part of the island with his troops, including the famous Doombot.

In the game, players are reclaiming various strategic locations by collecting distinctive equipment from Marvel superheroes like War Machine’s Arsenal, Auto Turrets, and Shoulder Jets. Additionally, a variety of previously unavailable weapons such as the Striker Burst Rifle, Ranger Pistol, and Hyper SMG have been unearthed. Captain America’s shield, initially introduced during an Avengers: Endgame event, has resurfaced, enabling players to hurl it and engage in battle with renewed valor.

At the moment, Fortnite Battle Royale can be played without charge on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, personal computers running Windows, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, as well as various mobile devices.
