As a long-time admirer of Rachel Zoe and her fashion empire, I find myself deeply saddened by the news of her separation from Rodger Berman. Their 26-year marriage, which began at George Washington University in 1991, has been a testament to their unwavering love and mutual support for each other, particularly in building their beautiful family and successful business ventures.
Rachel Zoe is moving onto a new project without Rodger Berman.
In an Instagram post dated September 9th, the fashion designer announced that she and her long-term spouse, parents of sons Skyler (age 13) and Kaius (age 10), have parted ways.
After spending 33 years as a couple and 26 years as a married pair, Rodger and I have mutually decided to part ways in our marriage. We are immensely proud of the loving family we’ve built and the countless moments we’ve shared together. Above all else, our deepest concern has always been and will continue to be our children.
Although they’ve parted ways, Rachel noted that she and Rodger remain dedicated to jointly raising their sons and collaborating in the various businesses they both own.
The author of Style A to Zoe appended, “They expressed their farewell with affection and appreciation. During this transition phase, they kindly request for privacy.
In 1991, Rachel and Rodger first crossed paths as students at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Seven years after that, they exchanged marriage vows.
On the reality show ‘The Rachel Zoe Project’, aired on Bravo, the romance and professional bond between Rachel, Brad Goreski, and Jeremiah Brent were extensively captured. This series primarily focused on Rachel’s career as a celebrity stylist, with both Brad and Jeremiah playing significant roles alongside her.
Following the conclusion of its five-season run in 2013, the reality star shifted her attention towards growing her fashion business, encompassing her clothing line and online magazine, The Zoe Report. This endeavor was backed by Berman, who now serves as co-CEO at Rachel Zoe Inc.
In a 2021 joint interview with People magazine, Rachel expressed their perspective on marriage as follows: “The concept is that you’re intertwined but also autonomous; there’s the common life you live, and there’s the individual life each of us maintains.” She explained that this mindset alleviates pressure from both parties since seeking happiness and purpose exclusively through the other person isn’t sustainable.
At that moment, Rodger expressed, “I’ve noticed that the strongest relationships are those where you truly wish success for the other person and make efforts to assist them in reaching their aspirations. In essence, your joy comes from seeing them happy, doesn’t it?
