Following speculations about it last week, Ubisoft has officially unveiled Rainbow Six Siege X. The official demonstration is scheduled for March 13th at 5 PM GMT. On their official website, the development team hints at the “most significant change” the game has ever undergone.
Despite some ambiguity, it’s clear that there are upcoming changes, including innovative play styles, enhanced strategic depth, improved game mechanics, and significant upgrades across the board. The presentation will include content creators, developers, and players to demonstrate “all the advancements” along with “numerous additional surprises.
As a die-hard fan, I’ve learned from Frax’s initial leak that the much-anticipated sequel, Siege X, is rumored to undergo an engine upgrade and enhancements in game modes and textures. The release seems to be scheduled for a point beyond Year 10, Season 1, making a sneaky surprise launch (or “shadow drop”) rather unlikely, though anything can happen! But remember, never count something out completely.
Keep an eye out for further information and developments next month regarding Rainbow Six Siege. This game is playable on Xbox One, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. It debuted in December 2015 and has been consistently updated with new characters, improvements, and overhauls since then. The number of registered players surpassed 80 million in 2022 – the same year that Rainbow Six Extraction, a less-than-impressive spin-off, was released. Be sure to read our review on the latter if you’re interested.
