Ubisoft has shared additional information about the upcoming game titled “Rainbow Six Siege X“. Through a collection of new trailers and video clips, the developers have unveiled several exciting new aspects for “Rainbow Six Siege X”. Among these are visual map improvements, a sophisticated rappel system, increased environmental damage capabilities, an upgraded audio system overhaul, as well as their strategies to combat cheating and toxic behavior in the game. For more details, watch the videos provided below.
The unveiling trailer for Rainbow Six Siege X offers us a quick peek into its gameplay mechanics. Notably, we can expect enhancements in its traditional shooting mechanics, but there are also fresh additions to the gameplay such as the option to traverse walls using rappel lines and a revamped destruction system that provides additional strategies for both attackers and defenders.
With the introduction of the innovative rappelling system, players can execute an array of complex maneuvers by running sideways at speed and navigating tight turns effectively. Moreover, the upgraded motion capture technology employed in this system promises a higher level of realism in the movement dynamics compared to previous versions.
In the realm of environments, players will encounter a variety of fresh opportunities. As demonstrated in the Environmental Destruction video, players can even aim at interactive items on walls such as fire extinguishers, which can cause temporary effects like smoke bombs. This system is crafted to let players strategically create obstacles throughout different stages, with items like pipes also serving as tools to neutralize adversaries.
In addition to the launch of Rainbow Six Siege X, you can anticipate significant aesthetic enhancements on the original game’s classic maps. These upgrades incorporate contemporary elements such as 4K textures, along with advanced improvements in lighting and shadow effects.
Regarding eliminating cheaters and harmful behavior in Rainbow Six Siege X, Ubisoft has stressed that they’re committed to making the game entirely free of such issues. Recently, Adrian Fraisse, the programming team lead, discussed the latest R6 ShieldGuard initiative in a video.
In simple terms, Fraisse stated, “We have zero tolerance for cheating and harmful behavior in Siege, and we’re relentless in our pursuit to eliminate them completely.” At SI, we launched a new program called R6 ShieldGuard.
In the context of R6 ShieldGuard, each player will receive a unique version of the game executable for launch. This measure is implemented to discourage manipulation, and the game will impose penalties on players if any tampering is discovered.
To enhance anti-tampering measures, the game code for Rainbow Six Siege X will undergo an additional layer of encryption known as Binary Hardening. This move aims to hinder cheat creators from profiting from making cheats for Rainbow Six Siege X, as intended by Ubisoft.
During gameplay, there’ll be a built-in defensive mechanism that prohibits players from executing actions labeled as “impossible.” These forbidden actions contradict the fundamental rules of the game, such as running and firing concurrently.
Rainbow Six Siege X is being crafted for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. On June 10th, it will be unveiled as a complimentary addition to the existing Rainbow Six Siege game. Those who are new to Rainbow Six Siege can acquire the game for free once this update becomes available.
