As a fervent admirer of Enchanting, every beat of her vibrant life resonates deeply within me. From her humble beginnings in Germany to her blossoming career in Atlanta and Fort Worth, Texas, she embodied resilience, talent, and an unwavering spirit that captivated all who encountered her.
According to the authorities, rap artist Enchanting tragically passed away due to an unintended overdose of prescribed drugs.
According to reports from the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s office, it was confirmed that a 26-year-old music artist died on June 11th due to an overdose involving Oxycodone (a type of opioid painkiller) and benzodiazepines, which are depressant drugs like Valium and Xanax. This information was released by TMZ on August 23rd.
In the report following her examination, the office confirmed that Channing Nicole Larry, better known as Enchanting, passed away at Baylor University Medical Center located in Dallas.
Enchanting hails from Germany, as her father was serving with the U.S. Army there at the time. However, she grew up primarily in Atlanta and spent her adolescent years in Fort Worth, Texas. At 18, she embarked on her musical journey following high school graduation. In the year 2020, she joined Gucci Mane’s record label, 1017 Records, subsequently putting out two complete albums: “No Luv” in 2022 and “Luv Scarred / No Luv” in 2023.
Expressing deep sorrow, Gucci penned on Instagram after her passing, “It’s so hard to write this, but R.I.P to such an outstanding young woman. A genuine star, we will all miss you dearly, Chant.”
She also collaborated on music with Boogotti Kasino, who shared his grief after her passing.
“He wrote on Instagram the day she passed away, ‘My little sister @luvenchanting.’ I didn’t want to hear such sad news. Nothing in this life ever managed to dampen your nurturing spirit. You were my friend, my sister, godmother to my children, and a genuinely kind person overall. Your presence had a profound impact on my life, reminding me that love in life is real.”
A year prior to my departure, I found myself compelled to warn others about the perilous consequences of drug misuse. I shared a heart-wrenching story – one that hit close to home for me, as I’d tragically lost a dear friend due to an overdose.
On the Cigar Talk podcast in 2023, she explained that people act as they do because if they are experiencing pain or dealing with something difficult, they seek relief. However, this action comes with significant risk, as taking even a single pill could potentially lead to an immediate death.
Approximately a year prior to her passing, Enchanting publicly addressed the dangerous consequences of drug abuse. She revealed that she tragically lost a close friend due to an overdose.
She remarked on the Cigar Talk podcast in 2023 that people tend to act as they do, “if they sense they’re experiencing distress or are simply going through something tough, they seek relief. However, it’s a significant risk. For instance, taking just one pill could potentially result in an immediate and fatal outcome.”
