Streaming PC games onto your mobile devices is set to become even more convenient, as Razer has unveiled PC Remote Play. This innovative technology enables you to stream PC games directly to your smartphone or tablet. To enjoy the complete suite of features that PC Remote Play offers, including Razer Sensa Haptics on Android devices, you’ll need the Razer Kishi Ultra. However, PC Remote Play is compatible with both Android and iOS devices. Furthermore, you can utilize PC Remote Play to broadcast games from your computer onto a portable console, such as the ASUS ROG Ally.
Currently, PC Remote Play is still in its testing phase (beta), which means it might contain some glitches when you try to use it. Also, certain features could change before the full release. To enjoy PC Remote Play, ensure you have the Razer Nexus app and the PC Remote Play add-on installed on your mobile device. Additionally, make sure Razer Cortex is installed on your computer.
As an observer, I’ve noticed that the Razer PC Remote Play seamlessly syncs with the Razer Kishi Ultra, a device that nearly aced our review due to its exceptional ergonomics, sticks, triggers, and USB-C charging functionality. However, what makes the Razer Kishi Ultra truly stand out is its latest feature – another impressive trick it has up its sleeve.
It’s true that streaming PC games isn’t exclusive to Razer; many gaming companies offer similar services. However, what sets Razer apart is its unique features, particularly in the area of Remote Play. Unlike most competitors, Razer’s Remote Play allows you to adjust the aspect ratio of your game to fit your device, rather than being confined to a specific ratio. This means that if you have a tablet with a tall screen, for instance, you can comfortably resize your games vertically or horizontally to suit the display. Moreover, Razer’s Remote Play is compatible with ultrawide devices, allowing you to play games without any black bars on the sides (provided that the game supports the aspect ratio of your device).
Razer advises having an internet connection that’s faster than 30 Mbps for optimal gaming experience, while a minimum of 15 Mbps is required for PC Remote Play. To establish PC Remote Play, your devices should be connected to the same network initially, but once set up, you can utilize this feature over mobile networks or various Wi-Fi networks.
