The highly acclaimed PC game, “Ready or Not”, is making its console debut at last! Though consoles are gradually catching up with PCs, there’s still a plethora of games exclusive to PC. This exclusivity sometimes stems from the ease it provides for smaller developers, who don’t have to worry about optimizing their game for various hardware. For instance, the game “Schedule I” isn’t particularly resource-intensive, but it’s not available on consoles yet. It appears that this game might find its way onto consoles eventually due to its overwhelming success, but we may need to wait a bit.

View Urgent ForecastThere are certain games that seem more logical to play on PC because they have numerous control options, especially those with intricate mechanics. For instance, games like Arma and Ready or Not have traditionally been better suited for keyboard and mouse input. Interestingly, these multiplayer simulator games have been or are transitioning to consoles. The tactical military game Arma started its console journey in 2022 with Arma Reforger, which serves as a kind of trial run for what will eventually become Arma 4. Despite needing significant work and updates to ensure smooth performance on consoles, the transition effort has been noteworthy.
Ready or Not Comes to Xbox Series X|S and PS5 This Summer
This summer, the game “Ready or Not” will transition to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A sneak peek at the console version was unveiled this week, demonstrating the smooth operation of the tactical shooter. For those new to it, “Ready or Not” is a cooperative tactical shooter where a few players can assume the roles of a SWAT team assigned to penetrate homes and compounds occupied by dangerous criminals. Unlike a typical raid, this involves more than just charging in with guns blazing. The rules of engagement are strict: there are hostages to save, enemies who can be negotiated with and convinced to surrender for an arrest, minimizing casualties, and evidence to collect.>
This game offers excellent replay value due to its ability to unlock fresh weapons and gadgets, enhancing your mission execution. Ready or Not will debut on consoles featuring 20 initial missions plus two additional ones included in a free DLC release, available simultaneously for PC. In addition, players can purchase two separate DLC packs priced at $10 each, which introduce an extra six missions to the gameplay.
The game titled “Ready or Not” is slated for launch on Xbox Series X|S and PS5 this summer. You can grab a copy of the game for $49.99, whether you opt for a digital or physical version. Pre-ordering the game will net you some exclusive in-game items. If you’re keen on getting all DLCs and additional in-game items, there’s a Deluxe Edition available for $69.99. This edition includes the two $10 DLC packs as well as access to an unannounced third DLC. It’s exciting that one of the popular PC shooters is now coming to consoles. Fingers crossed that it runs smoothly and controls effectively!
