Real Housewives’ Tamra Judge Shares She’s on Autism Spectrum

As a dedicated follower of reality TV, witnessing Tamra Judge’s personal journey has been both enlightening and heartwarming. Her recent diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder at the age of 57 is a testament to the fact that it’s never too late to understand oneself better.

Tamra Judge is learning more about herself.

A cast member from “The Real Housewives of Orange County” revealed that they were recently diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder in their initial therapy appointment.

During the October 15th episode of their podcast, “Two Ts In A Pod,” Tamra expressed emotionally, “I am on the autism spectrum.” She added, “We’re making efforts to deal with it. I struggle greatly with processing information. I have numerous sensory issues, such as sensitivity to sound, light, and touch.

She found that her diagnosis provided insight into why she experienced and acted as she did at various points throughout her life.

57-year-old confessed, “I used to view things as strictly right or wrong.” Growing up in a family lacking empathy and love, I unconsciously carried that into my adult life. However, after discussions and introspection, I struggle with understanding others’ feelings and exhibiting empathy.

Teddi made it clear that she thinks Tamra isn’t devoid of empathy. She further explained, “Your perspective on things is unique, and that’s why you react the way you do.

In the TV series on Bravo where she’s been a part of since 2007, Tamra opened up about her less-than-healthy ways of dealing with stressful situations as they unfolded on camera.

She clarified, “I manage to get through the performance by consuming alcohol.” She continued, “After I drink, a lot of what I’ve been keeping hidden inside me surfaces because my defenses are lowered.

In many instances, receiving an autism diagnosis can help explain various experiences in life with greater clarity. Earlier this year, Tullulah Willis disclosed that she wasn’t diagnosed as autistic until later in adulthood, which is often the case for women.

For the first time, Demi Moore and Bruce Willis’ youngest daughter revealed her diagnosis to the public on Instagram in March. She wrote, “I found out about it this summer, and it has significantly altered the course of my life.

Simultaneously, Holly Madison too received a diagnosis later in her life, at the age of 43. She had long entertained suspicions that there was something unusual about herself.

On the Talking to Death podcast in December, she expressed her long-held suspicion about it, as her mom had often voiced similar suspicions. She confessed that she’s always struggled with social interactions, not grasping social cues or understanding them like others do.

Initially, I’d chalk my behavior up to factors like growing up in Alaska and then relocating to Oregon during middle school – thinking it was just a massive social shift that made me so reserved,” said the former star of “Girls Next Door.” However, I recently underwent an evaluation earlier this year, and now I understand that my introverted nature is more than just a phase; it’s part of who I am.
