View Urgent ForecastSloclap, known for creating two highly acclaimed indie games like Absolver and especially Sifu, a fan favorite, continues to showcase its talent for innovation with its upcoming third project. At The Game Awards’ pre-show (now called the Opening Act), Sloclap surprised everyone by revealing a new game titled Rematch. However, it’s not what many might have anticipated.
In simpler terms, “Rematch” is a multiplayer soccer game where players engage in 5 versus 5 matches. The developers describe it as offering immersive third-person action, skill-based gameplay, and fierce online competition. Visually, the game’s art style resembles that of the popular game “Sifu”. On the field, the game seems to blend football strategies with arcade-style action. You can watch the reveal trailer below.
The game titled “Rematch” is expected to be released in the year 2025, available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and personal computers. However, the exact launch date has yet to be announced.
