Remi Bader is opening up on a harrowing health journey.
As a passionate advocate for body positivity and shopping enthusiast who gained prominence in 2020, I underwent a gastric bypass surgery back in December 2023 to aid my recovery from binge eating disorder. During this journey, I’ve shared the challenging process of recovery, explaining that this procedure was essential for me.
During the March 26 episode of “Khloe in Wonder Land,” Remi explained to Khloe Kardashian that he had been bedridden for about a month. Turning slightly would cause him immense pain, he said. At the time, he was also dealing with a prolonged menstrual period and was being told by his doctor that his infertility was becoming more likely at 28 years old. He was frequently visiting doctors to monitor his declining health, particularly concerning his heart and cholesterol levels. They were informing him that he was morbidly obese.
Before making the decision to undergo weight loss surgery, the 30-year-old had already exhausted all other options.
In my own journey, I’ve battled compulsive overeating for quite some time. Before diving into an intense six-week program designed specifically for binge eaters, I sought solace in Overeaters Anonymous meetings. I explored every possible solution because I was at my wit’s end.
Remi attempted Ozempic and other semaglutides on various occasions, but, as she had mentioned before, these treatments did not work for her. In the end, she opted for a newer type of bariatric surgery, specifically the Single Anastomosis Duodenal-Ileal Bypass with Sleeve Gastrectomy, which is abbreviated as SADI-S.
Subsequently, however, Recovery proved to be the most challenging aspect of Remi’s life. The aftermath of her surgery was far more distressing than anticipated, leading to episodes of forceful vomiting, significant hair loss, and a deep sense of despair.
Or:
After the surgery, Remi experienced the toughest phase of her life – the recovery period. The side effects were much worse than expected, resulting in frequent bouts of projectile vomiting, extensive hair loss, and feelings of depression.
In an interview with Self magazine, published on March 26, I opened up about a period in my life that was incredibly dark and terrifying – a deep depression had taken hold of me. The secret I carried made the situation even more unbearable; I felt like I wanted to end it all.
However, from a different perspective, the influencer is firm in her choice, attributing it to a significant enhancement in her health and having “an abundance of energy like never before.
She expressed, “I’ll always be grateful for the time I had to recover, Self,” and continued, “I’m still in the process of healing and making sense of things.

She mentioned on an episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show in May 2024 that a weight loss medication wasn’t part of her health management plan. She told her doctor for about two years, “No, I’m hesitant due to my thyroid issues,” she said. It’s not Ozempic she’s referring to, but another unnamed drug, which helps with the breakdown of sugar in the body, something her body doesn’t do efficiently on its own.
The media legend shares some health tips now that she feels great. She emphasized to Entertainment Tonight that it’s not just treadmill workouts, hiking, drinking plenty of water, and eating well, but rather a combination of all these things.
Oprah Winfrey hasn’t disclosed the specific weight loss medication she’s taking, but in an interview with People magazine in December, she expressed, “Discovering a medically-approved prescription for managing weight and improving health feels like a sense of relief, redemption, and a gift – not something to hide anymore and be mocked for again.” She further added, “I am completely done with the shame from others and especially myself.
In a July 2023 Instagram post, the HGTV personality shared his personal story of transforming his life over a span of two years, highlighting his fitness journey.
Occasionally, you might believe you’re on the right path, but what you truly require is a change in direction to foster development, he penned down. Although he occasionally attended hot yoga classes with his partner Heather Rae El Moussa, the celebrity admitted that he lacked a consistent routine, neglected monitoring his protein consumption, and didn’t have any coaching or guidance.
Introduce: Nutritionist Sean Torbati. He shared, “I’m making the right food choices and practicing hot yoga about twice weekly, which significantly benefits both my mind and body.” He continued, “The key is maintaining motivation and persistence.
When he understood deeply his desire to feel well and stay healthy – for himself, his family, and his long life – that’s exactly when he rolled up his sleeves and started working diligently!
In a recent disclosure, the co-host of the View admitted that she utilized the drug Mounjaro, a treatment for type 2 diabetes, as a means to lose weight following an increase in her weight during 2021.
She stated on the March 19 episode of the talk show that she weighed nearly 300 pounds while making “Till“. At that time, she was using various steroids and other substances. One of the factors contributing to her weight loss is a medication called Mounjaro, which she uses.
The celebrity from reality TV confidently asserts that she’s stunning, whether or not you offer your compliments – thank you for asking! In response to rumors about her physical transformation, the star of “My Big Fat Fabulous Life” clarified in a post from February on Instagram, “I prefer not to discuss this topic, but no, I haven’t undergone any medical procedures to lose weight.
She mentioned that she’d lost about 100 pounds from her original weight of 385 pounds, with 50 of those pounds coming after the passing of her mother, Barbara “Babs” Thore in December 2022. Now, she weighs approximately 285 pounds and has maintained this weight for nearly a year.
In essence, she added, “I appreciate your kind words, yet I prefer not to dwell on physical appearances. And I dislike it when others focus on that aspect too.
Despite being well-known for her beauty in Cleveland, Los Angeles, or any other city she might be in, the actress shared a unique perspective on body image through an Instagram post in February.
The Food Network presenter posted a 2014 bikini picture with the caption “This is a 150lb body on a 5’4 frame.” She no longer weighs herself, as this weight class is considered overweight according to certain standards, which she finds unintelligent and has believed for too long.
Free from the burdens of weight-loss regimes, she affirmed, “At last, I realize I am a compassionate, witty, thoughtful woman.” She added, “Always bear in mind, your true nature and character should never be eclipsed by your weight or size. You are sufficient, exactly as you are.
As for anyone that might not agree, she summed up, “F–k ‘em.”
The musician, who has lost 55 pounds, now feels like a rockstar. He admitted this in an Instagram post from April 2023, acknowledging that many people had asked about his weight loss and stage performance. “I’m really enjoying my performances,” he said, “and I’ve never felt healthier.
His motivation, he explained, stemmed from the daughter born in 2022: “I suppose fatherhood took hold, prompting me to give up soda and adopt healthier eating habits so I can stay around for a while longer for this precious child. As for smoking and alcohol, I like to think of myself as a patient man.
Indeed, she did experience a sense of pressure to bounce back after giving birth to son Sidney in November 2022. As she shared with TopMob News, her determination was strong: she aimed to lose 85 pounds during that initial postpartum period. Her focus on this goal was intense because she didn’t want to be involved in discussions about it and simply desired privacy.
She didn’t suggest adopting her extremely rigorous method, she simply stated, “It was quite demanding,” she admitted, “it was a struggle. I was often famished, but I am genuinely pleased with the outcome.
The former star of “Roseanne” has experienced a mix of ups and downs during his health odyssey. In the past, he would step away for three months, shed 60-70 pounds, indulge in a six-pack or something similar, and then return to his previous lifestyle habits. However, this time around, he decided to take it gradually – incorporating movement and exercise into his routine. He is now at an age where he can’t afford to be idle anymore.
His sensible lifestyle, which involves plenty of walking and a diet rich in fish, vegetables, and nuts from the Mediterranean region, has been instrumental in him keeping off 200 pounds. As he shared with Men’s Health, “It’s more like a lifestyle overhaul,” he said. “But it’s a passion I cherish.
As I grappled with my own type 2 diabetes diagnosis and the tragic losses of my father and brother to heart attacks, my passion for “The Price Is Right” intensified even more. Determined to make positive changes in my life, I embarked on a journey to embrace healthier eating habits.
He shared with Entertainment Tonight his successful approach, which largely revolved around avoiding carbs and incorporating a lot of daily cardio exercises. However, he admitted to the occasional slip-up. His strict diet mainly consists of no carbs, not even a single cracker or bread product like pizza or cornbread. He also avoids beans and other starchy foods. For breakfast, he opts for egg whites or Greek yogurt, with some fruit on the side.
And to wash it all down, “I don’t drink anything but water,” he said. “No coffee, no tea, no soda.”
The star of “1000-lb Sisters” has experienced substantial benefits following a significant weight loss. After losing an astounding 440 pounds, she’s achieved numerous triumphs, showcased on her TLC series: She flew for the first time, managed to fasten her seatbelt on an airplane and sit in the front seat of a car, traveled inside a hot air balloon and enjoyed rides at Disney World.
In a TikTok posted in February, Slaton pointed out that some individuals often overlook minor things, such as fastening a seatbelt without an extender. However, this simple action holds significant importance for him because he had been unable to perform such tasks for several years.
Now, the reality star explained, “In essence, I’m congratulating myself for accomplishing something significant – losing weight and truly living. I can now confidently assert that I am embracing life.
Lift your glasses high to this health-focused tip from a former star of Vanderpump Rules! Though she serves as an ambassador for Jenny Craig and aims to see improvements with her current meal plan, she also emphasized the importance of staying healthy for her son. She told TopMob News in February that while she’d like to lose some weight, it’s crucial to set a good example by demonstrating healthy habits for both herself and Jax Taylor’s son, Cruz.
The rising talent from ‘The Valley’ expressed, “I truly believe it’s crucial to demonstrate a balanced lifestyle to him. Exercise plays a significant role in my life, not just physically but also mentally. I strongly feel that embarking on a wholesome health journey is vital for me.
The effort she’s put into shaping her physique through intense strength training has certainly paid dividends for the committed musician.
In an interview with People in 2023, the celebrity expressed genuine pride about their personal journey. They shared that fitness is now deeply ingrained in their daily routine. They’ve been consistent and dedicated to exercising regularly and prioritizing their wellbeing through proper health management.
With all the effort she’s been investing, she mentioned, “I might need to launch a Fitness Program, perhaps titled ‘Bootcamp for Hot Bodies’, in the near future.” In one of her videos, she exclaimed, “This workout is intense!” She continued, “But just look at those toned legs! They’re popping more than ever!
After the world closed down in March 2020, just a few short months after the actress from Pretty Little Liars welcomed her first child, Atlas, she confided in TopMob News that she had never felt less motivated. With everything seemingly at a standstill, she frankly thought, “Why not?” or “Well, I guess I’ll just say screw it.
She abandoned her workout routines and her long-held belief in moderation while eating, giving way to a diet of mainly unhealthy foods during the chaotic year of 2020. This change left her feeling less than satisfied with her body, yearning for the sense of wellness she once had.
She was excited yet hesitant about joining Kelsey Heenan’s 4 Weeks of Focus program with Openfit.
Over the course of four consecutive weeks, she started her days with lemon-infused warm water followed by a 30-minute workout that combined HIIT, cardio, and strength training. She also stuck to healthier food choices, such as eating pizza but adding some spinach. Her transformation was remarkable. “Wow,” she confessed, “I’ve always been active, but I’ve never lifted weights over 40 pounds.
As a lifestyle expert, I’d say: Though I may perspire quite a bit during my fitness routines, it’s never the minor setbacks that define me. Known as Fat Girl Fed Up in the digital world, I recently shared on Instagram in December that I fell short of reaching my target weight below 200 pounds. However, I choose to celebrate the journey and progress I’ve made so far rather than dwelling on the goal that slipped through my fingers this time.
She acknowledged, “Every step forward counts, however tiny they may be.” After putting in a lot of effort this week, she reassured herself, “I didn’t become overweight in a day, and I won’t get rid of it in one either. Persevere regardless.
Every step I take brings me closer to my dream destination – a place where all my health aspirations are fulfilled. I’m on this journey, and I won’t stop until I reach it, be it next week or a year from now. Perseverance is key, so let’s keep moving forward, trusting in our abilities. It’s not about reaching perfection, but making progress every day.
In their pursuit of improving their gymnastics, the star from Queer Eye made an impressive impact on their health journey, masterfully achieving their goal of becoming stronger for a more challenging routine.
They mentioned on a TikTok video posted in August 2022 that they hired a nutritionist in April. Since then, they’ve managed to shed approximately 35 pounds. They showed off their physical transformation in the video. What’s interesting is that they shared their motivation for this change – it was due to their gymnastics and career requirements.
However, they advised that mastering the metaphorical aerial might not happen right away. “It wasn’t until three weeks had passed that I noticed any progress,” the author of Love That Story confessed. “If you’re aiming for change, it meant around three weeks of regular exercise and diet adjustments before I saw any results.
By the year 2022, when she was not yet 30, this former star of the Disney Channel decided to embark on a fresh fitness routine.
As a child, I would always wear a shirt while swimming. Fast forward to my late twenties, I decided it was time for a change and I wanted to transform my body into a muscular one, which is what I’m aiming for now. The actor, married to model Barbara Palvin, made this announcement on Instagram last April with the caption “This is my meat head post.
In his own words, he described his workout routine as a challenging journey, stating, “It’s been tough between lifting weights and using kettlebells, but I’m satisfied with my accomplishments so far, and I’m not ready to stop here.
At times, you’re nailing every high note without a hitch, but other times, you acknowledge that life isn’t always perfect pitch. This was evident when the actress openly confessed on her Instagram post in January 2024 that she had gained back 30 pounds after reaching her target weight of 75 kilograms in 2020.
Due to filming obligations leaving less time for her intense boxing and hiking regimen, Wilson admitted that she’s been struggling to maintain her healthy lifestyle. Previously vocal about overcoming her emotional eating habits and opting for a protein-rich diet instead of carbs, she now finds it challenging to stick with this new routine.
The additional pressure resulting in added weight, “I don’t like how it affects me,” Wilson confessed, “but unfortunately, it does.” (or alternatively)
The increased stress causing more weight gain, “It bothers me,” Wilson confessed, “but I can’t deny that it does.” (or simply)
The extra burden resulting in additional body weight, “I don’t feel good about myself because of it,” Wilson admitted, “regrettably, it has this impact.
Opting for abstinence from my beloved brewskis? Agreed. Dedicating three to four hours daily for relentless, high-intensity workouts consisting of P90X, kickboxing, and running, as detailed in my interview with Men’s Journal? You bet!
However, the most challenging aspect in Pratt’s 60-pound metamorphosis from Andy Dwyer on “Parks and Recreation” to the Guardians of the Galaxy superhero was downing the required water – about an ounce per day for every pound he weighed.
“I was peeing all day long, every day,” he explained. “That part was a nightmare,”
Despite being somewhat associated with the Baldwin family, as Cher Horowitz might remark, the former Clueless star recognized why fans were taken aback when they learned he was set to don the Ant-Man suit as Marvel’s newest superhero.
When I was chosen for the role in this film, it seemed many people’s responses were along the lines of “Really? Paul Rudd as a superhero? That’s surprising!” According to his statement to Variety in 2015.
In his own words, the seasoned actor adopted the strategy of Chris Pratt for preparing an action role: sacrificing enjoyment for a full year, which would eventually allow him to portray a hero convincingly.
The author of “Just Eat” returned to her reliable South Beach diet following the births of her older children in an attempt to feel more like herself. She shared with TopMob News that she noticed immediate results from the high-protein meal plan. “I jumped into the program, exercised regularly, and it was as if I had found the right fit,” she expressed.
Instead of immediately focusing on shedding weight during the postpartum phase, Decker advises new mothers: “Give your entire attention to enjoying this period,” she emphasized. “Mothers, remember, after giving birth, it’s crucial not to worry about losing weight. Your primary concern should be nourishing your baby and showering them with affection. You’ve just had a baby, and your body needs time to heal. When you feel ready, both physically and mentally, is when you’ll naturally start having the energy to run around.” In simpler terms, she suggests that mothers should prioritize bonding with their newborns during the postpartum phase, rather than focusing on weight loss.
It turns out that the six-pack physique has been a rewarding outcome of the former Modern Family star’s 90-minute workout routine and improved eating habits. He explained to People magazine that his diet now consists mainly of lean proteins, an abundance of vegetables, and avoiding unhealthy options like soda.
What truly motivates him is checking off items from an ambitious list of personal aspirations, particularly those related to the great outdoors. For instance, he expressed his desire to scale towering rock faces in Yosemite, and to achieve this, he’s focused on getting into top physical condition. Another significant ambition is to hike the Pacific Crest Trail, which stretches from Mexico to Canada along the coast of America, and then back.
After the birth of her daughter Kingsley in September 2022, the former star of Twilight acknowledged a tough reality: “I don’t believe my body will ever completely return to its previous state,” she expressed on an Instagram post in January 2023. “I’m learning to accept and be comfortable with this change.
If she encounters difficulties, she’s also learned a crucial tactic that is just as vital as her dedication to her postpartum exercise regimen.
She shared with TopMob News that she goes to collect her cherished daughter. Regarding her approach, she mentioned that gazing into Kingsley’s eyes helps foster gratitude rather than focusing on one’s flaws. This technique, she explained, is one of her strategies for self-improvement since it can be challenging not to be self-critical, regardless of the circumstances.
