As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent traversing the mystical realms of Remnant, I can confidently say that the latest DLC, The Dark Horizon, has certainly kept me on my toes. The hunt for the elusive Cessation Bulbel amulet has been nothing short of an intricate treasure hunt, involving content from previous DLCs and some good old-fashioned backstabbing (or in this case, betrayal).
In the recently released expansion for the game titled “Remnant 2 – The Dark Horizon,” players can expect an influx of fresh items, adversaries, and even dungeons. This means a great deal of exploration is required to uncover the new, sparkling accessories and equipment. In this tutorial, we’ll walk you through the process of obtaining the elusive “Cessation Bulbel” amulet, which has a rather intricate acquisition route.
How to Get Cessation Bulbel Secret Amulet | The Dark Horizon DLC
Here’s a friendly heads up: This task requires elements from the earlier DLCs to obtain the item. To get started, you’ll need a ‘Crop Sample’ and ‘Nimue’s Blood-Marred Vow’. Let’s break it down step by step:
Step #1 – Getting the Crop Sample
One essential item at the start is the “Crop Sample.” You can discover this item inside the “Detritus Foundry” dungeon. If it doesn’t appear for you, then you may need to re-run the dungeon. It might be hidden in a specific type of room and will have an orange glow or highlight over it.
As a fan, I can’t help but notice the unique, hard-to-overlook blue bulb of this small item on the ground. Once I manage to get my hands on it, I’ll hold onto it until it’s time to interact with the root at Ward 13. However, for a more seamless experience, I suggest saving that step for last.
Step #2 – Getting Nimue’s Blood-Marred Vow (Requires The Awakened King DLC)
After this, you’ll be required to encounter the True Monarch. As soon as you engage in conversation with this formidable adversary, consider using these following choices:
- #1 – “I’m a loyal servant, Your Majesty.”
- #2 – “What is my task, Majesty?”
- #3 – “I’ll see what I can do.”
By choosing the dialogue options provided earlier, you’ll be assigned a mission to eliminate Nimue. However, we won’t be carrying out that task. For the time being, though, our goal is to remain favorable in the eyes of the One True King.
After that, I’d recommend heading towards the haunting shores of the Forlorn Coast. Once there, my friend, your quest is to find Nimue’s secret lair. Engage in conversation with her when you do and carefully consider each option until you reach a point where you can opt to show mercy to Nimue. Brace yourself for an intense battle following this encounter!
Returning to the One True King
Following your alliance with Nimue, it’s time to revisit the Rightful Ruler next and share the truth about your actions with him. This revelation will trigger a battle against a boss, and due to my lack of knowledge about your specific circumstances, I can only offer a general advice.
In this case, the boss is quite manageable because his attacks are clearly predictable. However, the challenge lies in the fact that the One True King is a colossal boss, which means the camera could become your greatest adversary during the battle.
Keep a keen eye on his combat movements, particularly the occasional powerful strikes where he slams the ground beneath him with his weapon, causing an area-wide impact.
After overcoming him, if you’ve adhered to the preceding instructions, you ought to acquire the quest item of Nimue’s Blood-Marred Vow as a reward. With this item in your inventory, you now possess all the necessary components for the item.
The Root in Ward 13
Ultimately, make your way to the root located in Ward 13, situated behind a row of shipping containers. Present them with both the Crop Sample and Nimue’s Blood-Marred Vow there. After this interaction, you can speak to it once more, and you will receive the Cessation Bulbel as a reward.
Just in case it doesn’t work, make sure that you meet the following conditions as well:
- Be either a Summoner or Invader archetype
- Put on a full set of Invader or Summoner armor
- Equip the Profane Soul Stone
It’s uncertain whether they are absolutely necessary, but many others suggest that some or all of them might be essential for moving forward.
Cessation Bulbel – What Does it Do?
The “Cessation Bulbel” is essentially a protective charm that drains your entire shield when you activate a modification. In return, you’ll get a 4% damage boost for every 20 shield points it consumes, with the bonus increasing incrementally.
This can stack up to ten times and lasts for a few seconds. Because of how it works, you will need to have a lot of shield in order to have a noticeable damage increase, otherwise, it might be a bit pointless to have.
If you’re seeking an amulet that focuses on evasive maneuvers instead, I recommend taking a look at our guide titled “Mastering the Acquisition of the Insipid Talon Amulet in Remnant 2” as it offers an alternative introduced in the recent DLC. This might be a more suitable choice for you based on your character setup and gaming approach!
