As a seasoned Remnant from Reality veteran with over 1000 hours under my belt, I can confidently say that the Dark Horizon DLC has been a game-changer for me and countless other players. The new Insight trait is an absolute game-breaker for those of us who love to build our characters around mods or explosives.
In the Dark Horizon expansion of Remnant 2, a valuable new characteristic – Insight – is introduced. This attribute is extremely desirable due to its capability to autonomously produce Mod Power, which significantly alters the gameplay experience for those who specialize in mod-intensive or explosive character builds.
To acquire the Insight trait in this game, players need to defeat the final boss, Alepsis-Taura, during the Convergence encounter under specific circumstances. This guide will explain the conditions and crucial decisions about crystal destruction that could mean you gain the Insight trait or fail to obtain it altogether.
How To Get Insight Trait (New Trait) | The Dark Horizon DLC
To gain access to the Insight trait, you must first overcome the final boss of The Dark Horizon DLC, Alepsis-Taura, provided that specific requirements are met.
- Destroying 0 Crystals: This guarantees you the Insight trait and the Eternal Chamber material.
- Destroying 1 Crystal: There is evidence suggesting that you can still unlock the trait by destroying just one crystal.
- Destroying 2 Crystals: If you destroy both crystals, you will only receive the Black Mass material and miss out on the trait.
Most players suggest that it’s best to either not destroy any crystals at all or to destroy only a single crystal, in order to gain the desired trait, while also accumulating other rewards.
If your primary goal is to gain the Insight trait, you don’t need to venture into any dungeons. Instead, head straight to Alepsis-Taura in The Convergence. But bear in mind that bypassing the dungeons means you won’t be able to experience the Dark Matter Gauntlet.
Trait Overview: Insight Trait
This trait known as Insight significantly increases your Mod Power by up to 10 units every second. Due to its massive advantage, it plays a vital part in both mod-focused and explosive gameplay builds within the DLC. It enhances your character’s speed at regenerating Mod Power, which is essential for maintaining high-intensity mod spam playstyles!
