In the continually growing realm of Remnant 2, the Dark Horizon DLC presents numerous fresh obstacles and regions for adventurous players to delve into. One of the thrilling innovations is the Insulator Mutator, a potent asset that amplifies your weapons substantially.
However, obtaining the Insulator mutator requires navigating the complexities of the Hexagon Tower event within the Athenaeum Wek dungeon (finding the dungeon itself is also complex, a pain the ahh, really).
In this game, the unpredictable nature of its mechanics might make obtaining the House Wek Command Orb and reaching the Atheaneum Wek dungeon feel insurmountable. But don’t fret! Follow my guide step-by-step and I’ll help you navigate each stage, reducing the time spent searching for that elusive mutator to boost your collection!
How To Get Insulator Mutator (Hexagon Tower 2nd Orb Location) | The Dark Horizon DLC
Initially, you’ll need to secure the House Week Command Orb, which can appear during the Hexagon Tower event in the Atheneaum Wek. Keep in mind that this event might occur randomly within the Atheneaum Wek, a dungeon from The Dark Horizon DLC. Therefore, if you don’t manage to get the event, keep resetting until it appears.
TIP: The game’s unpredictable nature might complicate your journey, but if you opt for a single playthrough and mimic my decisions, you’ll have a better chance of discovering the Athenaeum Wek!
Upon appearing at the Wek map of the Athenaeum, ensure to verify if there’s an ongoing Hexagon Tower event. To locate this, move around the surroundings until you find an expansive space that houses a towering structure with hexagonal moving platforms going up and down.
FURTHER INFORMATION: The places listed in this guide might not align perfectly with your own locations, however, they can serve as useful references.
At the Hexagon Tower event, head towards the ride section on the ground floor. Once there, you’ll find three platforms similar to those depicted in the image provided. Utilize these platforms to move up to the next level.
Afterwards, look to your left and jump across to the other side of the platform.
After that, head towards the platform depicted in the following image. This will take you to a concealed lower area.
You ought to examine both the deceased body and the House Wek Command Orb – retrieve it if you can – then make your way back to the higher floors.
After that, you’ll need to ascend to the summit of the Hexagon Tower, where you should set down the House Wek Command Orb onto the device there.
I can’t guide you thoroughly on this part as the maps are randomized, but keep this in mind, so you know where to go: Always look around and find the platforms that move up and down; from there, just keep going up until you reach the top of the Hexagon Tower!
Ultimately, you’ll arrive at the terminal station. You’ll see that there are two spaces for your orb(s). Ensure to position the “House Wek Command Orb” in the terminal slot; otherwise, you won’t receive the Insulator.
Once you’ve set the House Week Command Orb onto the terminal, you’re ready to engage and operate it. This action triggers the appearance of a Boss. Conquer it and you’ll receive the Insulator mutator as a reward!
The Insulator Mutator allows you to temporarily gain a protective shield equal to a portion of your health (up to 25%) whenever you empty your weapon’s magazine. At level 10, it also boosts the chance of scoring critical hits with your ranged weapon by 10% when your shield is more than 10% of your maximum health.
