Here, I’ll lead you on a straightforward journey, helping you find and activate all three purple pillars hidden within N’Erud’s Agricultural Sector and Withered Necropolis.

How To Get Preservation Trait | The Dark Horizon
In the Dark Horizon expansion pack of Remnant 2, you can acquire the Preservation trait by triggering all three purple pillars scattered across the Agronomy Sector and the Withered Necropolis within N’Erud.
Absolutely, I’ll help you find the locations of all those pillars. Along the way, I’ll share pictures and instructions with you. Ready to start this journey? Here we go!
1st Pylon (Pillar) Location
To get to the 1st Pylon’s location, you should begin in the Agronomy Sector, which is the initial open-world region found in The Dark Horizon DLC.
From the spawning point, just keep heading straight.
To proceed, follow a yellow post (depicted in the image that follows), then advance a short distance further, and you’ll spot a glider ahead.
Fly the glider and peer below – you’ll spot the first pylon, it’s distinctly purple. That’s the one to trigger when identifying which pillar to activate, but keep in mind there’s a hostile creature guarding it, so exercise caution.
Additionally, triggering the terminals associated with each pillar will bring forth a challenge, which you need to conquer before proceeding to the subsequent pillars.
2nd Pylon (Pillar) Location
Based on your position at the first pillar, look behind you or survey the surroundings for a nearby gliding device that resembles the one depicted in the image provided.
To move forward, find three successive gusts of wind (let’s just call them air currents) by looking to your left. Then, ascend on the third one.
If you’ve carried out my directions accurately, the spot depicted in the picture that follows should be your destination. Once there, keep moving along until you reach a place filled with numerous yellow columns.
Go towards the left and from there, just keep moving straight.
This time around, find the glider; use it to travel to the other side. You’ll notice the second pylon, as depicted in the image provided. Similar to before, engage it, conquer the challenge, and proceed to the next destination!
3rd Pylon (Pillar) Location – Get the Preservation Trait!
Ultimately, you’ll find yourself at the final destination of the pillars, where you’ll receive the Preservation attribute as a reward! Instead, glance towards the left side of the terminal from the 2nd Pylon’s position, then take the path in that direction.
Keep pushing ahead, and soon enough, you’ll stumble upon another soaring glider. Once spotted, veer towards its apparent direction of motion and leap onto its ascending path.
Continue along the trail, veer to your left, and eventually you’ll come across a gateway leading to the Withered Necropolis, the place where the 3rd Pylon is situated. Enter it to move forward!
From the spawning point, just keep moving straight forward.
As you continue, you’ll encounter another Glider that you can utilize for descent. Keep your gaze fixed on the lower part; soon, you’ll notice a passage resembling a tunnel.
Just keep following the cave-area, and keep going forward until you reach the inside part.
Once you reach a forked path, go towards the right side of the cave.
Continue going to your right, and you’ll find a “wind current.” Make use of this to maintain your direction to the right and navigate around the walls of the cave.
In the upcoming scenario, consider using “airflow” to navigate towards and enter the illuminated entrance, similar to what’s depicted in the following image.
From the entrance, keep moving forward and down the ramp. From there, go right!
As you continue circling the region, you’ll ultimately come across the spot for the third Pylon. Once activated, conquer the final challenge (there might not be a boss involved), and acquire the Preservation Trait!

The characteristic called “Preservation” can be obtained and boosts the length of time protective shields are given to you, thereby extending the durability of your defenses.
