As a seasoned veteran of the Remnant universe, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming third and final DLC, The Dark Horizon! Having spent countless hours battling the relentless hordes of the Root, the prospect of exploring new farmlands and confronting robotic enemies with an enigmatic entity lurking overhead has me on the edge of my seat.
Gunfire Games has declared that the third and concluding paid expansion for the game Remnant 2, titled The Dark Horizon, is set to debut on September 24th. In this continuation of the adventure, players will revisit N’Erud to delve into some bizarre new agricultural territories. For a sneak peek at what’s in store, watch the reveal trailer below.
As you venture into uncharted territory, you’ll come across robotic adversaries that stand in your path, while an enigmatic presence watches from above. Along with fresh dungeons and bosses, there’s also a novel gliding mechanism for moving through the landscape. This system appears to have some impact on battling the new world boss, though the specifics are yet to be clarified.
Additionally, a fresh character archetype has emerged – the Warden. This character engages in combat using a healing drone, a shield for protection against damage, and an attack function for enemy takedowns. A teaser trailer for this newcomer will be unveiled within the next week. Aside from the Warden, you’ll also find the usual additions: rings, amulets, weapons, and mods, along with brand-new characters to engage in conversations with.
