As a seasoned gamer with countless hours clocked in battling titanic foes across various realms, I can hardly contain my excitement for the impending DLC release of “Remnant 2: The Dark Horizon”. Having vanquished the malevolent forces that plagued the world in the base game, I eagerly anticipate the new challenges that await me in N’Erud and the Warden Archetype.
On the 24th of September, the DLC for Remnant 2 titled “The Dark Horizon” is released. This expansion introduces a fresh zone in N’Erud, a new character type known as The Warden, and a novel gliding navigation system. Interestingly, even those who own the base game will receive a complimentary update on the same day which introduces a Boss Rush mode.
The mode is accessible from the World Stone in Ward 13. Playable solo or with other players, it has three difficulties – Triple Threat, with three bosses to fight; Trial by Fire, with seven bosses; and The Gauntlet, with 19 bosses. Players will fight against enemies and an Aberration to challenge a boss, with temporary buffs and passives to acquire during the run.
Additionally, Gunfire Games has another exciting announcement regarding the Relic Fragment system. They’re introducing new elements called Prisms, which can be elevated for additional stat benefits, although the exact influence remains to be seen. Keep an eye out for more information on this update.
Remnant 2 is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.
