Rengoku Returns in Wild New Demon Slayer Mugen Train Promo

The upcoming re-release of “Demon Slayer: Mugen Train” doesn’t stop at igniting your emotions; in fact, the recent promotions for the 100 days to Infinity Castle series have filled movie theaters with Rengoku. This month, Mugen Train returns to cinemas as part of the lead-up to “Infinity Castle” (in breathtaking 4K quality), and the latest trailer for the film is quite a spectacle.

Enthusiasts of anime are often recognized for displaying an excessive level of excitement. To cater to our fervor, certain Japanese cinemas host unique “cheer screenings” that allow fans to vocalize their responses, mimic the characters on-screen, wave light sticks, and engage in all sorts of anime-inspired antics. However, these “cheer screenings” do have boundaries, and Rengoku aims to educate spectators about the decorum expected in movie theaters.

Rengoku Teaches Us Movie Theater Etiquette

Aniplex has shared a fresh promotional video for Mugen Train, where the character Rengoku guides viewers on the appropriate behaviors during cheer screenings. He encourages audience members to feel free to talk loudly, and express their support, he says, while emphasizing that it’s acceptable to engage in certain activities specifically designed for these special events.

Instead of going wild with unrestrained cheers, spectators at cheer events might also consider bringing along safety-approved light accessories such as glowing sticks or candles (which could potentially pose a fire risk). Rengoku advises that expressing your enthusiasm through actions would be appreciated, while he treads the line between fostering fan support and straying dangerously close to inciting arson, given his title as the Fire Pillar.

It’s important to note that while cheer screenings can provide enjoyment, they do come with certain restrictions. For instance, open flames are allowed, but be cautious not to wear clothing made of flammable materials since cosplay is strictly forbidden during these screenings. Moreover, it’s advisable to avoid making loud noises with costumes or standing up during the screening, as it could disrupt others’ experience. Lastly, kindly remember that changing clothes in restrooms is also not allowed.

To put it simply, Muzan himself wouldn’t ruin a movie for others, and neither should you! Even though Mugen Train was released in 2020, many viewers at these special screenings are likely die-hard fans. Rengoku kindly requests that everyone avoid revealing spoilers before the movie begins, considering there might be people experiencing it for the first time. “So, let’s all show some kindness and keep the surprises under wraps until the movie starts.

Together with the video, the verified Demon Slayer account on (previously Twitter) also posted a picture of one of the screening rooms for the cheer screenings. The theater seats are adorned with Rengoku, the beloved Hashira character and his distinctive yellow hair. Take a look at it below!

Countdown for public release of “Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Chapter 1” movie, part of the “Demon Slayer” series, begins on July 18, 2025.
