As a seasoned survivor of the Resident Evil universe, I can’t help but feel a surge of adrenaline upon hearing the news that Resident Evil 2 has finally made its way to iOS and Mac devices. Having played through the original release multiple times, I can attest to the chilling terror it instilled in me, and the nostalgia of revisiting Raccoon City under Capcom’s masterful remake is almost too much to bear!
Over the past year or so, the games Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 7, and Resident Evil Village have been released on iOS and Mac devices that support the M1 chip or later. Despite not doing particularly well in sales, Capcom is still pushing forward with releasing more games from the survival horror franchise on Apple platforms.
This year, it was announced that the acclaimed 2019 remake of “Resident Evil 2” will be available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac, and now, it’s officially released! Just like previous ports, this one is a full-priced game, but until January 8th, Capcom is offering a 75% discount on the App Store for this game, as well as all other “Resident Evil” titles. If you’re interested in these games, now is an ideal time to grab them!
It’s uncertain if Resident Evil 2 will outperform its previous releases on Apple platforms, although it seems improbable. However, the game has consistently been a major success for Capcom, with sales exceeding 14.5 million units across all platforms, as reported earlier this year.
You can also play Resident Evil 2 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or your personal computer. Check out our review of the game by clicking here.
Experience the terror anew! Resident Evil 2 has hit the App Store! To mark the occasion, Resident Evil 2 and all other Resident Evil games available on the App Store are currently discounted.

Sales end Jan 8th, 2025. See App Store pages for specific device compatibility.
