As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming under my belt and countless nights spent huddled around my CRT TV, I can confidently say that Capcom’s remake of Resident Evil 4 has become an unparalleled gem in my ever-expanding game library. With over 7.664 million units sold worldwide, it’s evident that this revitalized classic has resonated with gamers across the globe, myself included.


Approximately one year after its debut, Capcom’s critically acclaimed Resident Evil 4 remake maintains strong sales. In their first-quarter fiscal report (ending March 31, 2023), Capcom disclosed updated revenue data for this popular survival horror title.

By June 30th, approximately 7.664 million copies of “Resident Evil 4” have been sold globally. During the second quarter (April-June), an additional 483,000 units were sold, indicating that sales remain consistent even after a considerable time since its initial release. Capcom reports that these figures account for their Gold Edition, which was released towards the end of last year and combines the base game with the “Separate Ways” DLC.
