Capcom recently shared an update on the sales of the Resident Evil 4 remake, released in March 2023. A tweet from the development team dated December 19th, 2024, confirmed that it has surpassed nine million units sold in total.
In October, it was disclosed that the game had sold more than eight million copies in total. This significant increase might be due to holiday sales during the previous month. Additionally, the widespread praise from critics and fans for both the main game and the Separate Ways expansion likely contributed to this success as well.
The remake of “Resident Evil 4” is now accessible on various platforms such as Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC, PlayStation VR2, iOS, iPadOS and macOS. This reimagining is derived from the 2005 original, where character Leon S. Kennedy embarks on a rescue mission to save the U.S. president’s daughter, Ashley Graham, from a secretive cult. Be sure to read our review for this title (which earned a perfect score of ten) and also explore “Separate Ways“, featuring Ada Wong.
