Resident Evil 7: biohazard Has Sold 14.4 Million Copies, Resident Evil Village Reaches 10.9 Million

Even though we’re still waiting for the next major Resident Evil game, its earlier versions continue to be popular sellers. As per Capcom’s Platinum Titles list, Resident Evil 7: biohazard has achieved sales of 14.4 million units as of December 31st, 2024, marking an increase of 400,000 since its last milestone.

Indeed, the latest installment in the series, “Resident Evil Village,” has been performing exceptionally well with sales of approximately 10.9 million copies (an increase of 400,000 since the last milestone). These two games can be enjoyed on a variety of platforms including PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch. They have garnered widespread praise for their stunning visuals, immersive first-person gameplay, and other features.

For the upcoming “Resident Evil” installment, Koshi Nakanishi is taking charge, having previously directed “Resident Evil 7: biohazard”, “Resident Evil 5”, and “Resident Evil Revelations”. More information is yet to be disclosed, but whispers suggest a potential release date somewhere between late 2025 and early 2026. This might mean an announcement could happen this year, possibly during Capcom’s Spotlight showcase on February 4th. Keep an eye out for further updates until then.
