Resident Evil Requiem Features First and Third-Person Modes, New Details Revealed

Excitedly, I’ve learned from an earlier Reddit leak that Capcom’s Resident Evil Requiem will offer a unique blend of experiences – switching between first and third-person perspectives on the fly! Recently, Xbox Wire shared their insights from a 30-minute demo, revealing this exciting feature that allows me to seamlessly switch between these viewpoints at any moment.

In contrast, both viewpoints function effectively with animations that seem lifelike. The demonstration unfolds after Grace is bound to a gurney. It’s set in the remains of Raccoon City, where she explores an epidemic. Over time, she manages to free herself from the gurney and wanders through the deserted ward.

Players won’t find any clear indicators for guidance, and Grace is defenseless, adding to the general fear. She may even let out a startled yelp when something frightens her (and believe me, there’s something lurking in the hospital corridors). This is the world of Resident Evil, where you’ll encounter riddles like fixing a broken fuse on a box or unlocking gates. The journey can be nerve-wracking, but it’s not yet clear how these events contribute to the bigger storyline.

On February 27th, 2026, get ready to experience “Resident Evil: Requiem” on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC platforms. Keep an eye out for further updates in the near future!
