In the upcoming game titled “Resident Evil Requiem“, players can experience the action from either a first-person or third-person perspective. Preliminary playtests at Summer Game Fest 2025 have verified this gameplay style.
The anticipated sequel features a toggle to switch between perspectives in the pause menu.
In most games from the Resident Evil series, the camera perspective is third-person. However, a new perspective was introduced in Resident Evil 7: biohazard – first-person. This viewpoint continued in Resident Evil Village, but with the release of “Winter’s Expansion” DLC, players now have the option to switch back to third-person gameplay.
