As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming under my belt, I must say the recent announcements about Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 4 remake have sent a shiver of excitement down my spine! Growing up, I vividly remember the thrill of playing the original Resident Evil 4 on my trusty PS2, and now, with the promise of enhanced visuals and higher frame rates on the PS5, I can hardly contain my anticipation.
In the recent State of Play broadcast, Monster Hunter Wilds made an appearance, but it’s still unclear if the game will be compatible with the PS5 Pro. However, there is good news for PlayStation fans as Capcom’s Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 4 remake are set to take advantage of the PS5’s capabilities, as announced in a new post on the PlayStation Blog.
In Resident Evil Village, players can look forward to a 120 FPS mode. This will make use of the console’s advanced high-resolution technology to deliver an incredibly immersive experience. It isn’t clear if this refers specifically to PlayStation’s Spectral Super Resolution, but the prospect of enhanced resolution and faster frame rates is certainly appealing.
In my gaming experience, the Resident Evil 4 remake is set to run smoother with a faster frame rate, and they’re using their top-tier “ultra-high-resolution tech” for those jaw-droppingly detailed environments and visuals that now look even more realistic and stunning than ever before.
