In a fresh twist, the latest installment within the franchise is titled “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX“, deviating from the traditional Universal Century timeline in an intriguing manner. Additionally, it features revamped versions of classic mobile suit designs, and soon, there will be three new High-Grade model kits based on these designs available for purchase.

The new Gunpla model kits for the White Gundam, Char’s Zaku, and Sayla Mass’ Light Cannon have been unveiled, capturing their designs from the ongoing anime series. One of these is a color variant of an upcoming model kit, while the rest are debut releases for the High-Grade category. Although specific release dates and prices haven’t been announced yet, fans can look forward to acquiring the respective Gundam figures for the latest anime at an affordable price point sometime this year.

The Latest Gundam Anime Comes to Life With New High-Grade Model Kits

Among the forthcoming High-Grade Gundam model kits, the White Gundam stands out as its most notable piece, being analogous to a character in the Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX universe. It is one of several upcoming collectibles that feature a more intricate design reminiscent of the RX-78-2, with an exceptionally stylish face. At present, only the potential box art for this model kit has been unveiled, slated for a December 2025 release and priced at approximately 2,200 yen (~US$15). Additionally, another release set for December 2025 will be the High-Grade Char’s Zaku model kit in a 1/144th scale. This Gunpla kit is based on the iconic Char’s Zaku II mobile suit from the original Mobile Suit Gundam anime, and it will come equipped with standard weapons such as the Zaku machine gun, heat tomahawk, and a bazooka.

Among other distinctive features, this design boasts an upgraded contemporary skeleton structure for enhanced flexibility, setting it apart from numerous others. The price for Char’s Zaku remains undisclosed, but it may follow the $15 price bracket of the White Gundam model. Lastly, a new model kit for Sayla’s Light Cannon is on its way, being a repainted version of the one scheduled to launch in July. As its name implies, this is a fully humanoid version of the humanoid Guncannon tanks from the Universal Century era, with Sayla Mass as its pilot. Famous for wielding the Gundam Hammer, it carries the intricate and lifelike appearance that characterizes Gundam GQuuuuuuX.

While details about its additional features and accessories remain under wraps for now, we know it originally came with two sets of hands and a beam rifle. As for when this figure will hit the shelves, it’s still up in the air since the original version (the Light Cannon HG 1/144 model kit) is yet to be released. Pricing details are also on a need-to-know basis, but expect it to fall within the same ballpark as other figures, around $15.
