Revenge of the Savage Planet is Out in May 2025

As a seasoned space explorer and avid fan of the original “Journey to the Savage Planet”, the announcement of its sequel, “Revenge of the Savage Planet“, has me absolutely thrilled! Having traversed countless galaxies and battled various interstellar foes, I can’t help but feel a sense of camaraderie with Martin Tweed, the new protagonist. The idea of waging war against a corporate overlord on an abandoned planet is not only intriguing but also resonates deeply with my own experiences in the corporate jungle!

In May of 2025, the sequel to the 2020 release “Journey to the Savage Planet” titled “Return to the Wild Planet” will be released. This was announced during the PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted, and a new trailer was shown. However, a full gameplay reveal is scheduled for December 17th. You can watch the trailer below.

The narrative centers around Martin Tweed, head of Kindred Aerospace, locked in conflict with Gunther Harrison, CEO of Alta Interglobal. Following a betrayal that leaves him stranded on an uninhabited planet, players embark on a journey of discovery, resource gathering, scanning, and survival. Along the way, they’ll employ three distinct forms of goo for various purposes, engage in battles against both corporate and non-corporate bosses, design their own living quarters, and capture various creatures.

However, it’s only the beginning since there are four hostile planets to explore. Like the first game, there’s also co-op with split-screen and local play alongside crossplay for the first time.

The savage planet’s retaliation will be available on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and personal computers. In addition to its digital debut, it will also have a physical Day One Edition release for consoles, which includes the “Hot Wizz” spacesuit as an extra perk.
