Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest Flatten the "New" Judgment Day on WWE Raw

As a long-time WWE fan with a knack for predicting storylines, I must say that the recent developments between Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio have been nothing short of captivating. The tension between these two former allies has escalated at an alarming rate, and it’s hard not to be invested in their feud.

To start off, the Monday Night Raw episode featured Rhea Ripley, a previous Women’s World Champion, expressing her frustration over recent events at WWE SummerSlam. Not only did she fail to reclaim her title, but she also lost her entire Judgment Day group, with Damian Priest being the sole exception. Similarly, Priest has faced setbacks as he lost the World Heavyweight Championship due to Finn Balor. Ripley was taken aback when Dominik Mysterio chose to side with Morgan rather than her in the end.

Following her expressions of discontent regarding previous matters, the crowd quickly began to jeer at Mysterio and Morgan. If Ripley desires an explanation for his departure towards Morgan, it was due to a sense of masculinity that made him feel entitled to such treatment. Mysterio alleges that instead of allowing him to be true to himself, Ripley attempted to alter him, which was humiliating when she called her “Mom.” Ripley counters by expressing pride in his development into the man he has become and considers it one of her greatest achievements. However, if he wishes to make independent decisions, the issue lies in the fact that it’s the last decision she intends to allow him to make. Morgan interjects to inform Ripley that everything Ripley cherishes is now hers.

Nevertheless, Ripley believes there might be another explanation at play. She’s been keeping some of her “potential liabilities” (apparently meaning the other members of Judgment Day) close, but what she failed to do was put an end to them permanently. If she wants them to cease their activities, she’ll have no choice but to eliminate them. Ripley remarks that it’s fortunate Morgan enjoys talking so much because it helped them locate their position. Ripley has expressed a desire to face off against Morgan in a “Hell in a Cell” match, given the intensity of their rivalry in such a short time. With the feud heating up rapidly, it wouldn’t be surprising if this hypothetical match actually came to fruition.

A clergyman suddenly appears and pursues Mysterio, who swiftly escapes through the audience. The clergyman manages to corner Mysterio in the ring and attempts to perform a powerful slamming move, but Carlito, who was set to fight the clergyman later, intervenes to save Mysterio. Unfortunately for Mysterio, Carlito’s efforts are unsuccessful. After a commercial break, the show resumes with the clergyman demonstrating his fighting prowess, launching a massive arced attack on Carlito, propelling him almost across the ring. He follows up with a clothesline that leaves Carlito disoriented, and finally delivers the South of Heaven chokeslam for the victory.

McDonagh surprises Priest with an attack from behind, prompting the rest of Judgment Day to pounce. Ripley intervenes, trapping Balor in a corner before he slips away from the ring. Mysterio attempts to tackle both Ripley and Priest but is caught by Priest first, followed by Ripley who delivers a Riptide. Morgan prevents Mysterio from the ropes as the reformed Judgment Day regroups on the stage.
