The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills are weighing in on Garcelle Beauvais‘ surprise departure.
Following the surprising announcement by the “Coming to America” actress that she was departing the series before its Season 14 reunion aired, her co-stars openly expressed their candid feelings regarding her unexpected departure.
Bozoma Saint John expressed her feelings of disappointment, saying, “It’s unfortunate the way she is leaving,” during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen alongside Erika Jayne on March 25. She wished things could have worked out differently so that she could stay for another season.
The season 14 newbie added, “I don’t think that’s a high note.”
From Erika’s perspective, the performer known for “Pretty Mess” shared that Garcelle’s departure will become clearer to viewers once they watch the thrilling three-part finale.
At the reunion, Erika reminisced, “It was clear she wasn’t feeling well since we already knew she had resigned two weeks prior. That much was evident.
However, when Andy claimed he “was aware she had resigned” following the reunion taping, Erika challenged the Bravo executive by saying, “That’s a distortion of events.
Later on, Andy explained, “To be honest, I wasn’t entirely certain when she walked away from the gathering. We had a chat here last week.
Afterwards, Erika revealed another straightforward fact about Garcelle’s intense confrontation with the group during their reunion show: “She didn’t pose for the cast photo with us. This suggests quite clearly that she was planning to depart.
In the beginning, Erika seemed a bit evasive, but later on, she expressed herself more sincerely: “Garcelle, I truly regret that you didn’t stay. I genuinely do. I understand that I’ve been rather petty tonight. I believe in your success, but I can’t help but wish you had persevered.
I certainly find their responses aligning well with what was hinted at in the electrifying RHOBH reunion trailer, as a devoted fan following along.
Following a passionate discussion with Dorit Kemsley in the preview, Garcelle angrily exits, expressing her frustration by saying, “I’m absolutely fed up! I can’t maintain friendships with such individuals. I don’t trust them at all. They’re just not good people.
As for why it was the right time for Garcelle—who is mom to kids Oliver, Jaid and Jax—to walk away?
It appears that Erika and Bozoma’s responses align perfectly with the hints given in the intense preview for the RHOBH reunion episode.
Following a heated argument with Dorit Kemsley in the preview, Garcelle angrily departs the set, expressing her frustration: “I’m absolutely fed up with it. I can’t maintain friendships with people like that. I don’t trust them. They’re all just untrustworthy jerks.
As for why it was the right time for Garcelle—who is mom to kids Oliver, Jaid and Jax—to walk away?
In her social media post, she shared with fans one reason for her departure: “My family is a major factor in this decision,” she said. Next year will be the last year of high school for my sons, and I want to be there for them during that important time. Additionally, my daughter Jaid is embarking on a new career, and I want to support her in that journey too. Lastly, I have some incredibly exciting projects that I’m working on – producing, acting, and developing – and while I can’t reveal any details yet, you’ll find out soon enough.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ season 14 reunion begins airing on April 1st at 8 p.m., only on Bravo. In the interim, continue reading to discover where Garcelle ranks in TopMob’s definitive ranking of all Housewives throughout history.
Bravo’s unsuccessful endeavor in showcasing our country’s capital resulted in the gathering of four women who, if you blinked, you might miss them from your recollection – Mary Amons, Lynda Erkiletian, Cat Ommanney, and Stacie Scott Turner. There was also one woman who, in her pursuit of stardom, intruded at a White House gathering. More about her will be discussed later on.
Who?
Vaguely familiar, but…
Once upon a time, DeShawn starred on the same TV show as NeNe Leakes. Surprising, we know.
This one-season Housewife brought nothing to the Orange County table.
Utah’s second season Housewife, Jennie, ended her run in an unfortunate manner. Back in January 2022, Jennie was dismissed following the reemergence of controversial and racially insensitive posts from her old Facebook account. Later on, she expressed regret but the harm had already been inflicted.
Her defining trait was “cougar.”
During season 16, the Orange County doctor was more of a calm presence rather than a drama generator. Her temporary marital issues with husband Ryne (or could it be Ryan?) didn’t exactly spark much interest. However, who could forget Dr. Jen’s unforgettable moment when she overindulged on wine at the Dubrows’ incredibly awkward yet captivating dinner party?
As a devoted follower, I might put it this way: My initial stint as a nurse anesthetist was marred by an incident that left an unpleasant memory – one I certainly hope won’t be repeated: the unfortunate episode we came to know as the “Esophagus Incident.
Katie often spoke passionately about her charitable endeavors, yet didn’t seem to show much else on the screen. She was more like a one-time appearance, contributing little as a cast member. Cutting the cast trip short? Definitely not recommended for a ‘Housewife’.
Her marital issues became quite evident during the two seasons she served as a full-time Housewife, making her struggle with relationships one of the most notable aspects about Charrisse, along with her champagne room.
A one-and-done Housewife, Shamari was at least fun?
In season 12, it was refreshing to have Peggy, a new character, join the predominantly white Orange County cast. However, her presence became rather annoying as she picked odd fights and frequently misunderstood words used by others. Furthermore, her decision to seclude herself in her room for an entire day during the Iceland trip suggested that she wasn’t well-suited for the Real Housewives lifestyle.
During her debut season, instead of developing a connection with Nigerian costar Wendy Osefo, Nneka’s storyline primarily revolved around an allegation she made against Wendy’s mother, claiming she was a witch (incredibly). It would have been more intriguing to see the two women bond over their shared heritage rather than engaging in conflicts without a resolution.
In the 16th season, Noella whirled around like an energetic whirlwind. Despite her husband, James, leaving the country and asking for a divorce just before filming began, adding a touch of intrigue to her story (which was somewhat engaging), it was her ongoing conflicts with Heather Dubrow that prevented her from sinking too low in the rankings. With more time and another season, we might grow fonder of Noella Bergener.
In the first season, she was known as a peacemaker, but by her second and final season, she switched to constant complaints about a cake being thrown at her and allegations of anti-Semitism that turned out to be baseless. This quick transformation from grace to scandal on “Real Housewives” is perhaps unlike any we’ve witnessed before.
Everything that Amber and her spouse, Jim, undertook appeared extraordinarily desperate. Moreover, it seemed as though Jim was more entangled in the dramatic situations than Amber, which certainly did not portray them in a favorable light.
What stands out most about Karen is that she was a dentist, and it appeared as though none of her colleagues held her in high regard. On to the next topic!
This was a real person with a show on Bravo. We promise.
Among the more recent short-term cast members on “RHONY”, Jules didn’t stay long enough to claim a top spot. Yet, she certainly added plenty of drama during her time there.
So unnecessary they couldn’t even get individual taglines.
Similar to Sara Al Madani, Nina embodied a multi-faceted, accomplished Arab woman skillfully balancing contemporary living with age-old cultural customs. She largely steered clear of the first season’s turmoil and at times found herself in the shadow of her co-stars’ more vibrant and boisterous personas.
Taleen proved to be a pleasant newcomer during the second season of RHODubai, however, with just one season under observation, it’s challenging to make a comprehensive assessment of her performance.
As a seasoned insider in the realm of style and lifestyle, I’ve noticed that Tyra Banks, a veteran of America’s Next Top Model, carried a peach during seasons 11 and 12. However, her impact on the Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA) was rather minimal, with her pregnancy seeming to last an eternity in the spotlight. Yet, she did manage to deliver a memorable read of Marlo Hampton during their time in Tokyo, which was truly epic.
Normally, we require seeing multiple seasons to rank a new Housewife higher. However, Katie made an impressive debut during the 18th season of RHOC, challenging veteran Housewife Heather Dubrow right off the bat. It takes quite a bold woman to question the grandeur of someone like Ms. Fancypants.
Sara’s cheerful, insightful perspective on life was generally enjoyable, yet lacked significant tension (apart from an instance where she gave Caroline Brooks some less-than-appreciated parenting advice). Nevertheless, this tech entrepreneur broke through conventional expectations of what it signifies to be a contemporary Muslim woman in the Middle East, and for that we admire her greatly.
In the latest season, the newcomers on “Real Housewives of New Jersey” seem to embody the stereotypical characteristics of a Garden State housewife and were entangled in a season-long dispute that Andy Cohen considered trivial at the reunion. Sadly, their friendship didn’t provide much depth during season 14.
In the initial season, Larsa didn’t leave a strong impact before departing from the show. When RHOM returned for its fourth season in 2021 on Peacock, her narrative focused on being Kim Kardashian’s former best friend and her involvement with selling provocative foot photos on OnlyFans… (in case you didn’t catch that last part)
After my stint as a Bravolebrity for one season, I took on the challenge of participating in Season 12 of “Next Food Network Star” in 2016. Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to secure a win in that competition as well.
Sadly, she seemed to serve as a target for Brandi Glanville. Moreover, her slogan, which glorified the questionable idea that one can never be too thin, came across as distasteful.
