The star from “The Real Housewives of Orange County” has now become officially engaged to John Janssen, who used to be in a relationship with Shannon Beador, one of Alexis’ fellow cast members.

This marks the celebration of nine months of love and laughter, and she expressed excitement for a lifetime with him. Each moment spent together is treasured, and she finds herself deeply in love with him and the wonderful life they’re creating together with their children.”

Alexis additionally posted about the details of when John proposed, expressing that her hair was unruly, her nails were far from perfect, and her attire was less than ideal. However, the moment itself was absolutely flawless, taking place in a private, romantic, heartfelt, loving setting.
Although it wasn’t entirely unexpected, considering Alexis had revealed to TopMob News in July that she and John were contemplating engagement, still, the news of them dating caught Bravo viewers off guard due to their intricate past.
Apart from their three-year romantic history, it’s worth mentioning that Jim Bellino, Alexis’ former spouse, filed a lawsuit for defamation against both Shannon and her co-star Tamra Judge in 2018. This legal action took place several years after Alexis departed the series following season eight.
When John and Alexis officially became a couple towards the end of 2023, Shannon didn’t hesitate to express her thoughts about it.
The Bravolebrity expressed honestly that they have been deeply hurt recently. They explained their confusion because, firstly, John initially stated he didn’t want to be in the limelight, but now seems to be more visible. This leaves them puzzled.
Shannon, who has daughter Sophie, as well as twins Stella and Adeline with her former partner David Beador, went on to express, “John understands about the legal case I had with Jim Bellino, which also affected Alexis. During that same month, John shared about his and Alexis’ relationship on the July 30 edition of the “Reality With the King” podcast with Carlos King. He expressed, “This is how it’s meant to be. There’s a significant amount of tension that has been lifted from my life, and, yes, it’s unfortunate.”
It was during that conversation, too, that the businessman shaded his time with Shannon.
“He pondered over his relationship with Shannon, acknowledging its authenticity. She possesses a truly captivating aspect. However, many may presume that John was the issue in our relationship. I invite everyone to contemplate what experiencing a relationship with Shannon might entail.”
But despite saying that he tried to make the relationship work, he continued, “What was it like? It was, ‘What it is like to fail every day, all day, every day? To fail at everything?’ That’s what it felt like to date her.”
Currently, Alexis and John’s alliance doesn’t seem convincing to Shannon. Speaking with TopMob News in July, she expressed her suspicion that there might be hidden agendas on both sides, hinting at a potential complex dynamic in their relationship. She also shared her gratitude for being free from the toxic bond she once had with John.
Shortly following the announcement of his engagement by his former partner and their new fiancee, Shannon wrote on Instagram, “I’m all about love for those dear to me…”
