Richard Armitage, a versatile actor whose range never ceases to impress me, once again delivers an enigmatic character that’s sure to leave us guessing.
In the latest Harlan Coben series, Richard Armitage reappears, departing from his role as a faithful husband concealing something. Instead, he portrays a police sergeant – who, intriguingly, harbors another hidden truth.
On New Year’s Day, the Netflix series “Missing You” will unfold, focusing on the character Kat Donovan (played by Rosalind Eleazar). Her life is thrown into chaos when her presumed-missing fiancé Josh Buchanan (portrayed by Ashley Walter) suddenly reemerges.
This shocking discovery forces her to “dive back into the mystery surrounding her father’s murder and uncover long-buried secrets from her past”.
In a careful manner, Armitage mentioned, “I portray a character who’s keeping a powerful secret that, if exposed, could shatter many lives. It’s quite intriguing to shoulder such a heavy responsibility.

Furthermore, notable actors joining the project encompass Jessica Plummer from EastEnders, James Nesbitt known for Suspect, Lenny Henry famous in Rings of Power, and Steve Pemberton, recognized from Inside No. 9.
Given that only five episodes make up this series, there’s a substantial amount of material from Harlan Coben’s book with the same title that needs to be effectively covered, as it serves as the source for its adaptation.
He said, “Since there are just five episodes, you can finish watching it quite rapidly.” He added, “The conclusion was so unexpected that even though I wrote it myself, I ended up watching it and made an error.
“But it will also really, genuinely move you. You’re going to shed a little bit of a tear.”
