As a seasoned movie critic with decades of experience under my belt, I must say that Richard Armitage‘s journey into the realm of writing has been nothing short of captivating. His passion for storytelling is evident, and his addiction to writing is akin to a fine wine, only getting better with time.
Richard Armitage unveiled that he’s been planning another audiobook, the third in the series, soon after the release of “The Cut,” which came out earlier this year.
About his recent passion for writing, Armitage expressed: “It’s astounding! Writing has sort of become an addiction for me now. It’s as if there’s a persistent itch that I can’t help but scratch. I suppose the works of authors like Harlan Coben have sparked this inspiration in me, and I’m overflowing with ideas.
It’s truly awe-inspiring to share the same space with several of my favorite writers, many of whom I have brought their tales to life through audiobook narrations on Audible.
“So this is how that writing came about for me. But I’m planning a third book.”
When queried about hints regarding his upcoming book, Armitage remarked: “I believe it’s shifting towards a psychological thriller instead of a crime thriller. However, I’m intrigued by the concept of social media restoration.
Besides penning his latest novel and appearing in the upcoming Harlan Coben series titled “Missing You,” Armitage is simultaneously engaged in producing a television version of his debut audiobook, entitled “Geneva.
Indeed, for almost a year, we’ve been working diligently on this project. We’ve had discussions and contemplated transforming it into a television series. That idea is definitely moving forward, so you can expect it on your screens soon.
It’s both challenging and exhilarating, as I find myself in a position where I can revisit certain parts of the narrative that didn’t quite meet my expectations, since no work is truly complete. If given the chance to rewrite these sections, I would make adjustments.
As a cinephile, I’m thrilled to pass the baton to a talented screenwriter now. Together, we can polish the script, make necessary adjustments, and unravel the tale in an engaging way.
