Fans have been waiting for more than a year to see what happens next with Rick and Morty in their animated series, but now they can rejoice because a sneak peek of season 8 has been unveiled!
The initial glimpse was unveiled concurrently with the season’s launch date, and the fresh episodes are scheduled to debut on Adult Swim in the US starting from May 25th, 2025.
In the UK, we haven’t set a specific release date for season 8 as of now. However, considering the pattern from season 7, fans might not need to wait much longer.
In the past, episodes from Season 7 were broadcasted on E4 only two days following their airing in the United States. Fingers crossed that we’ll see a similar swift release schedule for this upcoming season as well.
As a dedicated cinephile, I’m thrilled to share that Rick and Morty are returning for their eighth season! The world feels purposeful once more! With infinite possibilities ahead, who knows what adventures await?
Join us on thrilling escapades with Summer, Jerry, two extraordinary Beths, and perhaps even Butter Bot! Could it be that Rick and Morty might receive a fresh challenge soon? No matter what twists and turns life takes, the dynamic duo always manages to bounce back. Many have attempted to subdue them, but they remain undeterred!
Initially, it seems like the opening sneak peek depicts the pair exploring a world or society that embraces Easter motifs, immediately plunging themselves into perilous situations.
For Season 8, both Ian Cardoni and Harry Belden will reprise their roles as Rick and Morty, while original cast members Chris Parnell, Spencer Grammer, and Sarah Chalke are set to return as well.
Previously, co-creator Dan Harmon shared with The Verge that the eighth season of the animated series will stand out following the cast changes, as he put it: “Season 7 serves as another brick on that path, but season 8, which is already penned, I believe will separate even more when it’s released.
We’re aiming for a refreshing comeback, a ‘we’re back with a vengeance’ sort of feeling, and we hope that Season 9 will embody this sentiment even more. This renewed energy is the result of a gradual process of regaining our momentum.
