Rick and Morty: The Anime Episode 2 Release Date

The second episode of “Rick and Morty: The Anime” is called “Fighting Mother” and will air its English dub version on Adult Swim at midnight on August 22nd. Following this, the Japanese release will take place on August 24th, with the episode becoming available for streaming on Max the day after that. Here’s a sneak peek of what to expect: Life goes on as usual for the Smith family, Rick takes it easy in a realm bridging multiple universes, Summer assists Beth in battling the malevolent Galactic Federation, and Morty finds himself smitten by a mysterious girl; they’re all part of an anime.

The upcoming anime series, titled “Untitled Takashi Sano Project,” is being written and directed by Takashi Sano. Notably, Sano has previously worked on the anime shorts “Rick and Morty vs. Genocider” and “Summer Meets God (Rick Meets Evil)”. The series will be produced by Sola Entertainment and Telecom Animation Film, with Maki Nagano, Max Nishi, and Takenari Maeda serving as producers. Yu Kiyozono is the animation producer, with Yuuki Kakizoe acting as the assistant producer. Jason DeMarco and Joseph Chou will serve as executive producers. Arisa Matsuzawa will be the art director, while Makiko Kojima will handle the color design. The series will consist of ten episodes.
