Ricochet Stabs AEW Star with Scissors in Brutal Heel Turn on Dynamite

As a long-time wrestling aficionado who’s seen more than my fair share of heel turns, I must say that Ricochet‘s transformation into a full-blown villain was as sudden as a rollercoaster drop at Six Flags. But let me tell you, it was just as thrilling!

Ricochet has always been known for his high-flying acrobatics and dazzling moves, but this time he’s added a new move to his repertoire: the cold-blooded heel attack. The way he went after Swerve Strickland was as chilling as an Arctic gust in July!

I’ve seen wrestlers turn on their friends before, but never have I seen one pull out a pair of gold scissors and stab his opponent like that. It was a brutal reminder that even the nicest guys can snap under pressure.

Ricochet’s actions have certainly shaken up the AEW roster, and I can’t wait to see how this feud between him and Swerve unfolds. If Ricochet keeps up this level of aggression, he might just end up being the most feared wrestler in AEW.

And let me tell you something else – if I ever cross Ricochet, don’t expect him to pull out a pair of scissors on me. No, instead he’ll probably just give me a friendly hug… followed by a swift kick to the gut! That’s what I call a high-low combo!

As a passionate fan, I was thrilled to be part of the audience tuning into AEW Dynamite’s groundbreaking debut in 2025, an event that also marked its premiere on Max. But let me tell you, Fight for the Fallen offered more than just a first glimpse. In the third episode, some of AEW’s biggest names went head-to-head, vying for the top spot in the Casino Gauntlet. Among them were Swerve Strickland, Roderick Strong, and Jay White.

Unfortunately, Strickland’s journey came to an abrupt end when Ricochet, in a chilling display of his newfound villainy, eliminated him from contention. The turning point was a shocking moment where Ricochet, in cold blood, plunged a pair of scissors into Strickland’s head, heralding the start of a darker chapter for the charismatic wrestler. And that was just the beginning!

Initially, Strickland stood precariously on the barrier, then he pushed White off it. Suddenly, an unseen assailant, Ricochet, appeared and tugged Strickland back over the barrier. He then led Strickland towards a wall and pierced him in the forehead with a pair of golden scissors, causing Strickland to fall once more.

Despite being on the brink, Ricochet leaped over the barrier, persisting with his assault. Strickland had already sustained a gash and was bleeding from his initial injury, but Ricochet proceeded to jab his forehead repeatedly with the scissors, making the wound even worse. At this stage, Strickland was drenched in blood and woozy, and Ricochet then maneuvered him into the ring.

As a longtime fan of professional wrestling, I can’t help but feel a sense of unease as I watch the latest events unfold involving Ricochet and Swerve. Having followed their careers for years, I have seen them both rise through the ranks to become some of the most popular and respected performers in the industry. However, it seems that something has changed in Ricochet recently, and he has taken on a more sinister persona.

Last night, during an AEW show, we saw Ricochet covered in blood and sitting near Strickland to taunt him. This attack was reminiscent of the actions of a true villain, and it seems that Ricochet has fully embraced this role. Over the past few weeks, fans and Swerve have been taking jabs at Ricochet, mocking his performances and making fun of him. It appears that this has not sat well with Ricochet, who is now on a revenge tour.

From my perspective, it’s clear that Ricochet feels slighted by the criticism he has received and is using this as motivation to lash out at those who have dared to cross him. Swerve looks to be the first victim of Ricochet’s rampage, but I fear that others may soon follow if Ricochet continues down this dark path.

As a fan, it’s always exciting to see new storylines and character developments in wrestling, but it’s also important to remember that these are real people with real emotions. I hope that Ricochet can find a way to channel his anger and frustration in a positive direction, rather than resorting to violence. Only time will tell how this situation unfolds, but for now, I can’t help but feel a sense of sadness as I watch one of my favorite wrestlers seemingly lose himself in the role of a villain.

Over the last few weeks, Ricochet’s situation has developed quite rapidly. A week or two ago, you could start noticing hints of a more villainous character emerging. However, things escalated significantly after the Hurt Syndicate’s attack on him. This encounter made Ricochet appear notably vulnerable, and the rolls of toilet paper that followed in subsequent episodes, such as his defeat against Okada at Worlds End, didn’t improve his image one bit.

At every turn, Strickland was there, firing jabs at Ricochet and making sure he understood that Strickland would be ready if Ricochet lost, offering another chance to lower him further. It appears that Ricochet has internalized this message, as he is now determinedly seeking revenge on Swerve. It’s possible we might witness more retaliation towards Okada and Bobby Lashley too, but for the moment, his attention seems solely on Swerve.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on Ricochet’s moves! Let’s chat about everything wrestling-related over on Bluesky at KnightofOA!
