Initially, “A Knight’s Tale” underwent a 4K upgrade, and now it’s “Kingdom of Heaven,” directed by Ridley Scott in 2005, that’s set to receive a remarkable overhaul with an exquisite Steelbook packaging. Notably, the 3-disc collection will incorporate both the Director’s Cut and the Roadshow Version of the movie. The latter version offers a grander experience, reminiscent of the early cinema era. These screenings were exclusive events for select audiences, featuring additional scenes, musical scores, and an intermission. Fans can anticipate hearing commentary from Orlando Bloom, Ridley Scott, and Writer William Monahan about the Roadshow Version as part of the 8 hours of supplemental material included.
The “Kingdom of Heaven” is getting an upgraded 4K UHD/Blu-ray/Digital release, boasting Dolby Vision and Atmos remastering, and will arrive in a stunning Steelbook with a sword and mask design. On May 27th, you’ll be able to stream “Kingdom of Heaven” on digital platforms like Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV. In addition, 20th Century Studios is offering a special 4K theatrical re-release of the movie at select cinemas on May 14th. This one-night-only event will be held at various theatres nationwide. As an added bonus, Beyond Fest will host an early viewing of the 4K release on May 2nd at The Egyptian Theatre. Tickets for both events will be available soon.
