Rift of the NecroDancer is Out Now on Nintendo Switch

Immediately following its February 5 debut on PC, the rhythm-based roguelike game “Rift of the NecroDancer” is now available on Nintendo Switch. This news was shared during a recent Nintendo Direct presentation, and a trailer showcasing this release can be viewed below. In addition to revealing its Switch release, the trailer also unveiled the upcoming “Celeste Music Pack” DLC.

From the creators of “Crypt of the NecroDancer” and “Cadence of Hyrule”, the game titled “Rift of the NecroDancer” departs from its forerunner’s RPG elements and wholly focuses on its musical aspects.

In this game, players assume the character of Cadence, who finds herself thrust into a strange world where she must engage in musical battles to defeat monsters. The game boasts an original soundtrack composed by Danny Baranowsky, Jules Conroy, Alex Moukala, Josie Brechner, Sam Webster, and Nick Nausbaum, with over 30 tracks available.

In simple terms, after completing the game, you’ll find a feature called “Remix Mode”. This mode provides an opportunity for replaying the game with fresh levels, while maintaining the rhythm-based structure from the main storyline. Additionally, it allows players to participate in daily challenges for extra rewards.

The Celeste Music Pack downloadable content features four well-known songs from the highly praised side-scrolling platformer Celeste – “Scattered and Lost”, “Reach for the Summit”, “Confronting Myself”, and “Resurrections”.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that there’s more groove-filled action coming our way! The trailer for Rift of NecroDancer suggests they’re cooking up a DLC inspired by the iconic Super Meat Boy. Can’t wait to see those pixelated characters boogie their hearts out!
