Rihanna is work, work, work, work, working the 2025 Met Gala red carpet.
Following the announcement of her third pregnancy, the “Diamonds” singer made a striking appearance at the May 5 event. She graced the steps of New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art in a black dress that accentuated her growing belly. (Here are all the latest celebrity fashion trends.)
Her striking dress was designed to resemble a suit, sporting a lapel-like front, a red tie with white polka dots, and a graceful train at the back for a feminine accent. The 37-year-old accessorized the ensemble perfectly with a large-brimmed fedora.
At the fashion fundraiser, Rihanna attended alongside her long-term companion A$AP Rocky, who is serving as co-chair for this year’s event – themed “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” and featuring a “Dress Code: Tailored for You”. Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, Pharrell Williams, and Anna Wintour were also present.
On this special event, Rocky, aged 36, donned a unique Awge outfit tailored especially for him. He accessorized with Bvlgari jewels and carried a Briony Raymond umbrella alongside it.
On previous occasions, the couple, who are parents to sons RZA (age 2) and Riot (age 21 months), have graced the Met Gala together. Back in 2023, they paid tribute to the late designer Karl Lagerfeld. During that time, an expectant Rihanna wore a Valentino gown adorned with Chanel’s Camellia flowers, while Rocky donned a black blazer, skinny tie, bedazzled blue jeans, and a crimson-colored plaid kilt.
Last year, it was planned for Rihanna to attend the Met Gala, but unfortunately, she had fallen ill with the flu a few days before the charity event, causing her to cancel her appearance.
Indeed, as a devoted admirer, I must share that even after winning a Grammy, she mentioned she hadn’t intended any grand plans. Quite the contrary, when asked by TopMob News, she expressed her style would remain relaxed and casual, or in her words, “chill.
