Rihanna is giving fans a glimpse into the moment she found a new love—actually, make that two.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day (March 8), the artist famously known for “Diamonds” shared unique hospital pictures of herself and A$AP Rocky’s newborn sons, who were just delivered, for the very first time.
In an Instagram post, Rihanna shares two images capturing her early experiences of motherhood. The first photo displays her cradling RZA Athelston Mayers, who is now 2 years old, in a close embrace, adorned with pearl and gold necklaces. In another snapshot, she appears in a selfie, donning a black bra and pink sunglasses while holding her 19-month-old daughter Riot Rose Mayers.

In a departure from her usual practice of keeping her sons with A$AP Rocky out of the spotlight, Rihanna recently offered some glimpses into their unique characters. This revelation came after she announced her pregnancy during her Super Bowl Halftime Show performance in 2023.
In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar published on February 22nd, she expressed that Riot is extremely funny. She described his mornings as a series of squeals and screams, more like singing than crying. She said it’s like, “Here we go!” when he wakes up because he’s her morning alarm. He’s persistent and doesn’t take no for an answer from anyone.
As for RZA, he is an “empath,” according to his mom.
Rihanna added, “He’s incredibly magical. His passions include music, melodies, literature, and all things related to water. Whether it’s bath time, a swim, the pool, or the beach, he enjoys them all.
RZA was given a name inspired by one of the Wu-Tang Clan members, whereas Riot’s name originated from a suggestion made by Pharrell Williams, who teamed up with Rocky (also known as Rakim Mayers) for the 2023 track “RIOT (Rowdy Pipe’n)” to come up with its name.
Rihanna mentioned that the name he chose for us was intended for a girl, as he had come across an idea about it on the internet.
Rihanna, known for her hit song “Work,” has indicated that she hopes to expand her family further with partner Rocky. In an exclusive interview with Justin Sylvester at the FENTY x PUMA Creeper Phatty Launch Party in 2023, she shared, “I’m hoping for a boy next time, about 75% chance.” She added, “So, we’ll keep our fingers crossed and wait to see what happens.
In June, the Grammy-winning artist told TopMob News that if she found herself pregnant once more, she might weep from sheer nervousness for a day but would likely overcome it the following day.
She added, “I would just be scared.”

Following their baby announcement, Rihanna admitted that she found it challenging to conceal her pregnancy from her friends due to their close proximity and knowledge of her routine. As she explained to Justin Sylvester of TopMob, “My friends are always around me, they’re aware of my habits. They noticed changes like me abstaining from alcohol and not smoking, and I was eating foods I don’t usually eat. Plus, I started craving sweets which is unusual for me. Eventually, I had to reveal the truth, and they were taken aback, just as the rest of the world was.

Despite speculation among fans that A$AP Rocky might have proposed to Rihanna due to visible messages like “Marry me?” and “I do” on their teeth in his “D.M.B.” video, reports from reliable sources close to the couple confirmed to TMZ in May 2022 that they are not yet engaged.
